A FEW HOURS LATER
Luke approaches Letty, who sits hunched on the steps, her elbows resting on her knees. Around them, Mr. Nobody's team swarms the area, clearing debris and analyzing the wreckage left in Cipher's wake.
"You okay?" Luke asks gently, his voice cutting through the controlled chaos.
Letty doesn't answer right away. Letty stares at the ground, her jaw tight, as if holding herself together takes every ounce of her strength.
"That wasn't him," Letty finally responds as she shakes her head, her voice trembling. Luke watches her closely, his brow furrowing. "I don't know what she's got on him." Letty continues, her voice barely above a whisper. "But that wasn't Dom."
"Yeah, I hear you. But what I don't get is what she needs Alex for," Luke agrees as he exhales sharply, running a hand over the back of his head.
Letty glances over to the pile of vomit nearby, untouched amidst the cleanup. A flicker of realization crosses her face.
"Leverage, maybe. But..." Letty hesitates before answering.
"But what?" Luke asks as his gaze sharpens.
"That wasn't the first time she threw up," Letty sighs heavily before responding, rubbing her hands over her face, meeting Luke's eyes.
"What are you saying?" Luke raises an eyebrow, his arms crossing as he processes her words.
"I think she's pregnant," Letty hesitates again, her voice quieter this time.
The weight of her statement hits Luke hard. Luke's eyes go wide, and he takes a small step back as if the gravity of the situation physically shifts the room.
"Are you serious?" Luke asks.
"Yeah," Letty responds as she nods grimly. Before either can say more, Tej approaches them, his expression tight with worry.
"We need to find them, and fast," Tej says, glancing between them. Tej's concern showing as his focus entirely on his sister.
"Brian would know what to do," Roman, who had been lingering nearby, steps forward, his voice hesitant.
"No!" Letty snaps, spinning to face him. Letty's sudden outburst startles the group, her voice cutting like a blade. Letty softens slightly but still speaks with urgency. "We can't bring Brian and Mia into this. We agreed on that." Roman shifts awkwardly, glancing at the ground.
"I know," Roman mumbles, the sadness in his tone mirroring the crack in Letty's voice.
The group falls silent, the weight of the moment pressing down on them. Around them, the cleanup continues, but it feels like they're standing in a separate world entirely, one filled with uncertainty and fractured trust.
"We'll figure it out," Luke says finally, his voice steady but determined. "We have to." Letty nods slowly, steeling herself. "We have to bring Alexandra back. And Dom."
"And Cipher?" Tej asks grimly.
"She doesn't walk away from this," Letty's jaw tightens as she responds while she stares into the distance, her voice cold and resolute.
In the dimly lit confines of the aircraft, tension crackles between Dom and Cipher. Dom's pacing is deliberate, his muscles tense with restrained anger. Dom halts abruptly, fixing Cipher with an intense gaze.
"Back there," Dom begins, his voice a low rumble. "Was that for her, for me, or you? Or was it even necessary?"
Cipher, lounging with an air of calculated nonchalance, removes an earphone and meets his stare.
