CHAPTER TWENTY
the nightmares are eating me alive.

mason had training, and me I was packing for a week in Manchester I was going to see my childhood friends and some art gallery they wanted to go to I left for Manchester the Thursday morning leaving a text in the groupchat telling everyone I was leaving and I'd most likely be back by Tuesday, I had told masons one night we were having dinner he wasn't so excited about the idea but he was a happy I was seeing my friends after awhile but kept repeating he will miss me so much.

i laughed as I took a drink of my water "his name is mason-" I tried to start off "as in mason mount!"
"Yes." I focused on telling them about how we actually met but the girls kept going on about how k was dating one of premier league players.

Maisie had left for Manchester I was alone how sad just kidding I was with Declan for the weekend he invited me over as his girlfriend had went to see family the two of us being on are own atleast we had each others company for awhile one thing I needed was fifa with him so we left the living room heading to his gaming room.

the rain had finished finally as we left the house heading to the dinner in fumo one of my favourite places.

"hello?" I asked confused why I was getting called from a random number
"it's me mase"
"hii babe whats up?" i waited patiently on a reply tucking myself up in the covers

"i wanted to hear how you are doing hows manchester how are your friends what have you done?"

"we went out for dinner yesterday and tomorrow we're going to this art museum."

"If it inspires you will you start doing art again"

"maybe"

"oh I hope so"

"Mase I need sleep I'll talk to you soon"

I sighed as I finally realised I was missing mason god away for like 3 days and I want to see my boyfriend already but i tried shrugging it off at some point i did and fell asleep
i was in a deep sleep someone grabbed my arm pulling me from my bed as i fell to the floor "maisie move quick." danielle pulled me up as we ran the flashlight helping us see "danielle what's
going on?" i asked "it's him jackson he's trying to kill us he had me by the throat I nearly-y" she couldn't finish her sentence without stuttering "but god knows what would have happened to you" I heard maja scream as I let go of daniel and ran back but this time the house was on fire I reach the top the stairs "maja" I scream and coughed as I reached the top stair as he stood there "you deserve the worst in life but enjoy your time 6ft below." He smirked as he pushed me making me fall down the stairs tumbling I was knocked unconscious as I was screaming I lay there.

I threw myself up straight holding my throat my breathing I wasn't breathing I knocked a glass over luckily maja came running in she stood at the door as she saw I wasn't breathing properly she ran over and made me catch the air breathing again calming me down she held me in her arms.

"I'm sorry maja." I sighed as she stroked my hair "shhh it's okay just breathe." She relaxed my mood from panic to calm "how long has this been happening?" She asked "about a week or so." I dropped my head "what are they about?" I sighed moving my body up straight as she held my hand "Jackson abusing me trying to kill me and this time he did he did it maya I was laying dead after I tried to save you from dying in the fire in the house he did it he finally killed me." My breathing was unsteady as she drew small circles on my palm

"phone mason tell him and we can get you back to London tomorrow I don't think it good for you being alone here I will visit you." I smiled picking my phone up.

"mase?"

"maze? Why are you awake so late."

"the nightmares." I sighed

"oh my god are you okay"

"maya helped im okay, but she says I should probably go home to be with someone at night."

"what time will you be here?"

"probably 6ish or so"

"well we will have a movie night and takeaway." I could tell he was most likely smiling on the other side of the phone.

this has been sitting waiting to be posted for ages i just haven't had any motivation to write this story, i liked to be a few chapters ahead when i post i have two waiting but i'm not posting them yet, i should probably write since i have covid :((
