Kim did a few side-kicks but they seemed useless. Jack dodged Kim's punches and she grabbed his arms but got flip on the ground. Kim got up with difficulty. She looked at Jack with hope, but he threw her on the ground ruthlessly.

Taylor slipped on the floor, she saw someone was walking to her. She remember the pair of shoes this man was wearing. It was her friend coming to rescue her, was it?

Kim was no match to Jack at all. Jack caught hold of Kim's neck and clutched it tight, Kim looked at Jack breathlessly. She wanna scream and cry- but no, she must, must help him.

"The game's fun, but we probably should end it now." Jack stared at Kim on the floor and grabbed her up again. Kim's back was went against Jack's chest and he wrapped his right arm around her neck tightly. She struggled against his grip but he was too strong. He created a fire ball on his left hand and wanted to burn it on her.

"Jack, it's me, Kim! I knew I was wrong, I shouldn't have doubt you. I'm sorry. Even though everything might have changed already, but I never stop loving you!" Kim cried, with her hands still trying to get rid of Jack's right arm, and freezing his metal armband involuntarily.

"Kim?"

"Jack!" Kim realized that she was freezing his armband, and it was destroying the capability of the armband. Jack was trying to controlled his right arm, he let go a bit and said, "Kim... run.." Kim heard what he said, she ran away at once.

"I don't... know how long... can I...control myself... Lock me... in the prison..."

Kim hesitated, she wouldn't make the same mistake again.

"I would never do that," Kim stared at Jack, firmly.

She tried to help Jack to get rid of his armband, and freezing it more. However, Jack's fireball was on his left hand. It's getting closer and closer to them, and Jack still couldn't use his own conscious to keep it away from them.

An inch and an inch, closer and closer.

The fireball almost touched Kim's hair. But by the moment, the ice created by Kim had completely frozen the armband and Jack got rid of it immediately. He threw it on the floor, along with his fire ball. The armband was destroyed.

Jack and Kim looked at each other, panting. They hugged at once and their lips immediately touched. It's the mixture of ice and fire. The fire of Jack melt the heavy ice of Kim, she stopped blaming herself. The ice of Kim cooled down Jack's anger. Their lips slowly separated, but their noses and foreheads were still pressing against each other's tightly.

Kim's tears dropped, "I thought I would never see the real you again. I am sorry." Jack kissed the tears on her lips, forgiving her. They hugged again.

When they finally let go, they realized they didn't have much time left. Jack opened the secured gate and they tried to escaped from the lab. They stopped in a huge arena. The ceiling was high and there's a console at a rather high position. There were several gates around the arena. Jack and Kim didn't know which way to go. And they saw Taylor, with a laser gun pointed at her. She looked at them with hope: please saved me. A man was standing beside her.

It was true, this man visited Kim in the prison previously. She thought he was only joking then, but he wasn't. Now he appeared again, she really scared and confused: why must the reality so be so cruel to her?

For Jack, he's only confused. Still thinking that the whole thing was a joke.

"Rudy?"
