There are two things I would have done differently in life had I been given the chance. The first is staying clear away from Remus Lupin. Had we not fallen in love, things might have turned out differently. I would have at least saved a grieving soul. The second thing? I wish I had died sooner. It would have made things much more simple and saved a lot more lives. Unfortunately, I am in no such position to go back and change any of those things. Instead, I must deal with the consequences brought forth by my extended life.
I took a sharp inhale as I watched his hand point his wand at me. This was it. The final crawl of a battle that could have ended much quicker had I not been alive. I watched as a smile crept onto his paling face. Nothing could save me, but I suppose that's exactly how it has to go. No escape, no help, and no negotiations.
"I love you, Remus." I whispered, shutting my eyes as tight as possible, bearing for the worst. I heard him let out a chuckle of disgust.
"Avada Kedavra!"
