I took the deepest breath possible and followed my parents entering the Mercedes hospitality. I knew the Monaco paddock like the back of my hand and always felt confident walking around, seeing familiar faces everywhere, I was convinced no Monegasque missed this race, it was a duty.

Saying goodbye to Corinna and Gina right before entering the paddock because cameras were all on them. It happened every time and it no longer felt abnormal. Always saddens me to remember the reason for them to get attention was because of uncle Michael. That's what I called him, since I was just five years old. I usually tried to ignore the situation as a whole because I wasn't very good at handling tough situations. I always broke down, especially if it was related to health. The long conversations we had with Mick and Gina over the years felt like nothing but heartache. They were broken, so was I and we had no idea how to recover from that. As we grew up, we managed to heal our souls a little but it was never a full recovery.

"Nikolai, welcome all of you. Good to see you." The german accent belonged to one and only Toto Wolff, greeting us. He already lived in Monaco with his family but he was travelling most of the year so it wasn't like my dad and him were seeing each other "Susie is waiting to hear from you Sofia." He continued, putting a pressure on me this time. I was aware of what he just mentioned, I was supposed to start my internship at Venturi Racing, a Monaco based racing company which Susie was the CEO of.

"I'll inform her when I finish the semester, thank you for giving me the opportunity once again." I tried my best to sound polite, not annoyed. Meanwhile I had storms inside. I was delighted with my own life at the moment and wasn't looking forward to take a step in the business world yet, but I had to do it nevertheless.

My mum's ringing phone saved me, it was becoming a routine nowadays, getting saved from a stressful situation by a phone. "Sofia, Corinna's inviting you to Mick's garage." My mum summed it up and I politely asked to leave to do what I was told to. Letting the mild weather brush my skin, I put my sunglasses back on and fixed the Mercedes cap on my head. As I walk through the paddock, I saw many faces from university. Cameras in their hand, capturing the moment like they don't come here annually. I waved to few of them thinking it would be quite rude to ignore their existence. I wouldn't say I wasn't popular in university but I certainly wasn't the mean girl of the school, never been. I was many things but I was never the jealous, evil one. I was more like the friendly, popular, spoiled one in a good way. Yes I was spoiled because I was privileged to have the things I owned thanks to my family. It was quite similar within the families in Monaco, gladly I was very humble unlike others. I knew how and when to show off, I knew myself, I was aware of my standards and boundaries. The walls I built within the years weren't there to come down any time soon. The confidence I had now was handmade, my own masterpiece. I was lucky enough to get lost to find myself and discover myself each time, building my own character in a better way. Letting the uncontrollable situations shape me, deciding on how would I like to be seen to others. These were all picked by me. I was self made, the best project I would work on.

"Hello ladies!" It didn't take me long to spot Corinna and Gina. They were both shining with their blonde hair. I could see no toxicity in them, which was every rare to find in females these days, especially in this country.

"Mick started to complain about your absence and we had no other choice, sorry." I received a quick explanation on getting called up to here from Gina. Her brother was behaving as if he was a little boy time to time, we were now luckily used to it. I could only imagine him talking too much till he gets what he wants, just like he used to do when we were kids. That kid was now sat in an F1 car in front of us, his name on the screen, ready to go out for P1, how proud Corinna must be.

An hour and half later, four of us were starving and Mick had to have his lunch before P2 anyway, now heading to get some food, Corinna'd decided to meet up with my parents and leave the youngsters alone. I felt more relaxed now, never letting my head down, catching gazes of people, I noticed Charlotte and Charles having a chat.
