Chapter 1 - Home.

"Come on boys! Put yer backs inta it!" Sapnap, first mate of Spirit the boat they travelled the seas on, yelled at the crew.
The Gods were not in favour of them getting home today as the seas and the sky's both attacked them from all sides.

The crew scrambled across the sodden deck and confidently manned their positions. Sapnap tightened his white bandanna, ran down the deck slapping a few of the men on their broad backs and up one of the two sets of stairs to the raised back part of the ship. Their Captain stood fighting a losing battle to the wheel.

"Captain, permission to fall back?" Sapnap asked as the storm gained more strength.

"Permission denied. " Captain Dream smirked as the ship leaned a hard left casing half the crew to fall to the floor.

"Captain we ain't makin this!" Skeppy, a man with raven black hair, black trousers, boots, belt and sword with a loose white blouse yelled as he hauled up his friend in a similar black attire except he had a long black and red trench coat and glasses.

"We're making this boys!" Dream cried. "We can either hide forever or LIVE LIFE TOGETHER SO WHAT'LL IT BE?"

"LIVE LIFE TOGETHER!" They screamed in chorus.
"THATS MORE LIKE IT BOYS! " Their Captain screamed back.

He was a little reckless, some called him crazy, to most he was known as The Masked Insanity but no one could deny his smarts when it came to dealing with the ocean. Whether it be the Gods wishes with the tides or the creatures that loomed down in the shallows as well as the depths he'd experienced it all. Well, all except the sirens. But they were rarer then anything in this frail world.

Only ever seen for a fraction of a second at most by the particular few and never more then a fin.
The only tales of existence of the sirens were the myths that had washed up on human shores as well as the occasional shimmering scale.

The crew of Spirit continued to push through the raging storm as they neared L'Manberg: their home.

The storm continued to gain stronger and stronger as they went further and further west and their maps were nothing more then useless piles of blurred ink. Luckily Sam, the marine technician seemed to have blue prints of the seas imbedded into his mind and helped direct them to their destination.

"Almost through Captain. The storms boutta break. I can feel it. " Ramboo said. He pushed his half black half white hair up so it wasn't covering his green eyes and tightened his black scabbard.
The crew murmured in agreement as they continued to pull ropes, levers and climb the nets to get themselves home safe.

They soon saw a heavenly bright light shining through the miserable grey clouds and the winds dyed down slightly.

"That's it boys. Poseidon favours us today!" Sapnap laughed slapping Dreams soaked back.
Their vessel soon emerged through the other side of the storm and they could see the faint silhouette of their home in the bright horizon. It was leading into the evening and the sun was already beginning to dip. They finished their last jobs as the waters also calmed and they were able to drift freely with their large sails now released.

"Good job boys. She continues to sail another day. " Dream said walking down the stairs in his black buckled boots, black trousers, white blouse soaked through so his chiseled abs showed through, a lime green sash tied round his waist, an old jacket down to his hips, fingerless black gloves and eye patch with a matching ratty Captains hat.
