Two weeks have passed, and the prince is still getting used to his surroundings. The castle was definitely much bigger than the one he used to live in. Surrounding it was an even bigger garden, guarded by a brick wall. Within the garden there were Islan Sentinels, asleep until one will breach the castle. That is how to third kingdom is kept safe, unlike the others. Yet somehow, the third kingdom always finds a way to keep the 8 kingdoms safe.... Until now that is.
Walking through the halls, the prince wandered as he explored. As he walked, he started to hear voices. He notices the door to one of the rooms opened. Walking closer, he started to make out the voices. They sounded like they belonged to children.
He peeked through the doorway to see the princess along with three green skinned children. Two seemed to be boys while the other seemed to be a girl. They all played with the pieces that belonged to the war table.
"Uncle Giosa?" Asked the girl as she held a piece. "Will our mother and father come back for us soon? They left without telling us when they will return."
"Shora! Stop asking questions." Said the eldest boy, as he glared at his sister. "It's pathetic."
"It isn't, Neris." Said Princess Giosa. "Your parents will return within the week. They have matters to attend to."
"Big Boas!" Shouted the youngest, as he reached for the ship in the table. Shora giggled.
"Yes, Sern. It's a big boat." Shora replied to her baby brother. Then, she looked up at her uncle. "By the way, when will we see your betrothed? I don't know what the fifth kingdom prince looks like."
"In due time." Giosa said, looking down at their map. "He has gone through a recent and horrible tragedy."
Shora looked in shock then sadness, remembering the fire her parents told them about recently. Neris rolled his eyes.
"Why are so interested in the prince anyway, sister?" He said. "I'm sure he isn't that handsome."
"Oh? Like Sage?" Shora said with a smirk while her brother blushed a deep green hue.
"S-Shut it!" He shouted. Shora giggles while Giosa slightly smirked. Suddenly, Sern shrieked in glee.
"Pretty prince!" He squealed. Everyone turned the doorway he pointed to. There was no one.
"You must have been seeing things little brother." Said Neris.
Meanwhile, the said prince hid away after the little boy looked at him. He breathed a sigh of relief when no one went to look. He started to get worried once more however. He knew he was betrothed, but... to the heartless princess? That can't be true. Shaking his head, the prince returned to his quarters. He must have misheard....right?
