Cheryl Blossom was bored. She loved her friend Veronica Lodge dearly, but once everyone got drunk at her little get togethers, it seemed to be a bore. All of the guys would be arm wrestling or sharing stories about their high school and college days. Cheryl still couldn't believe that she had accepted Veronica's invitation for a three day getaway to the Lodge lodge. It was a large lake house in the middle of nowhere. The closest gas station or store was a fifteen minute drive.

She watched Jughead Jones and Reggie Mantle take a few shots of a clear liquid before they started arm wrestling, again. She was actually surprised that Archie Andrews wasn't getting in on the bets being placed, or wanting to go up against the winner. He was probably off with her cousin somewhere, doing Gaia knows what.

Cheryl decided to sit outside in a lawn chair by the pool while everyone else was inside. She wondered where the girl Jughead had brought was. Her name was Toni and she was introduced as the greasy haired boy's girlfriend. Cheryl was not about to call him a man. Nope.

Ever since the introduction, Cheryl hasn't actually believed that they were together. They just didn't seem like a couple, like everyone else did. It was definitely strange and the redhead wanted to get to the bottom of it. As she thought of a way to cause a little bit of chaos, her phone chimed with a text.

Baby: Where did you run off to?

Cheryl: I'm out by the pool, darling.

The redhead stirred her drink, waiting for her girlfriend to find her. It didn't take long. She wished she could say that hearing the suitcase being wheeled over the concrete surprised her, but this was normal.

"Duty calls?" Cheryl asked, turning her head to the woman in question.

Minerva sighed. "I'm sorry, yes. Lillith called and she needs me back in the city ASAP. You know how she gets when I turn her down."

Cheryl hummed in response. Minerva was practically a pet to Lillith. Always at her boss's beck and call. "We only have two more nights here. Please stay Min-Min?"

Minerva sat on the lawn chair, next to Cheryl's legs. "Babe, you know I can't turn her down. She'll fire me on the spot. I need this job. That way we can eventually buy a big fancy house like you've always wanted."

Yes, Cheryl did want a big fancy house, but she could buy that herself. It wasn't about how big or fancy the house was. It was about having a home to call their own, instead of some high end loft that Minerva owned and had been living in before they met. They had been living together for almost two years and it never felt like a home to the redhead.

"Fine," Cheryl smiled. "But, when I return, we must go out for dinner and a movie. N'es-tu pas d'accord?"

Minerva laughed. "You know I have no idea what you just said. But yes, I promise. I've already called a cab. They should be here soon." The brunette leaned in to give her girlfriend a kiss before she stood back up and left.

"Love you," Cheryl smiled up at Minerva.

"Love you, too." Minerva blew the redhead a kiss before finally walking back inside the lodge and out the front door.
