Prompt: Online Friends AU
Toni has been talking to an online friend named Daphne over the summer. Daphne is secretive, but Toni doesn't mind. It's nice having someone to talk to, someone you don't need to have your walls up for. What she doesn't realize is that Daphne is someone she actually knows. Sort of.

Season 2 vibes, but I'm not sure where Fangs disappeared to, and Jason is alive.

Toni stared across the lot at the redhead perched on the classic car. She was stunning, with long legs that seemed to go on for days, fiery red hair, and a body she wouldn't mind being under or curling up next to after a brawl. As beautiful as the redhead was, Toni had another woman on her mind.
Unfortunately, she didn't really know what the woman looked like - she was extremely secretive, due to her status and sexuality - or at least that's what she told Toni. She didn't know what her friend - who she only knew as Daphne - looked like, but she could use her imagination.
The only things she really knew about Daphne was that she loved cherries, classic novels, binge watching rom-coms and baking. Apart from that, Toni didn't know anything about her life. Daphne never talked about parents, siblings, friends, or other hobbies, and the fact that she classified herself as a loner.
Toni was more than happy to fill in the gaps about herself. She decided to stick with the fake names, and went by Starfire. She thought about a way to connect her last name to her fake name. Maybe Blue or Stone, she had thought one day, but it quickly vanished when she caught a glimpse of her freshly dyed pink hair in the mirror.
"Don't tell me you've got the hots for Red," Sweet Pea teases as he gently elbows her side.
Toni blinks at her friend, realizing she had been staring. "Who?"
"Red," Sweet Pea nods his head in the direction of the redhead still perched on the car. "Cheryl Blossom," he clarifies.
"Cheryl Blossom," Toni says slowly, letting the name roll off of her tongue. Her brows quickly furrow. "Wait. The rich bitch Northside princess?"
Sweet Pea crosses his arms over his chest before saying, "The one and only." A beat passes before he speaks again. "Word is she's going to be the flag girl."
Toni's jaw drops. "Oh hell no. That's my job. I always do it!" She grabs the bandana from her hair and rushes off to the starting line.
Toni wasn't the flag girl that day. She decided to let Cheryl have her fun. She'd get to do it next time.

Daphne: How was your day? Fun I hope.
That was the message Toni had found when she finally laid in bed that night. Well, it was her grandparents pull out couch, but it was her bed for the night. It was better than sleeping on the floor, Jughead's couch, or sharing a bed with Sweet Pea.
They usually only messaged late at night, after Serpent business, or whatever it was Daphne was up to. Toni hadn't revealed what exactly she did with or for the Serpents, just that she had a lot of extended family who lived in the area and she needed to help them out from time to time.
Starfire: It was good. Hung out with my family, soaked up some sun. How was yours?
She tried to be as vague as Daphne seemed to be, but she wasn't very good at it. Toni wanted to tell her friend everything about her, but Daphne never wanted to reveal too much and she had told Toni that shortly into their friendship, after Toni had found out that they both lived in Riverdale, which Daphne accidentally let slip. She didn't talk to Toni for a week afterwards.
