Seth returned to her home conveniently hidden in a peaceful valley a while later. Despite living in the desert, the creak was pretty much the only place where a few plants were allowed to grow other than cacti.

Once within the small courtyard of her temporary home, Seth dismounted and headed back in to pack her most needed items for her trip to hunt down Red Haired Shanks.

In fact as she entered her home she was already reconsidering the whole thing. Sailing the vast never ending ocean in search of one pirate...Like a needle in a hay stack, how was she ever going to carry this assassination out?

Opening to door to her office, she took off her hat and half heartedly threw it on her desk. She opened up drawers, cupboards and searched the bookshelves for her important items, including daggers, throwing knives, a katana and even a cross bow. What could she be missing for an assassination attempt? There was always poison but Seth hadn't bothered to concoct a brew so left that one out for now. All the while, her packing had awoken a certain sleepy child.

Amy's silent presence alerted Seth and caused her to pause in her packing.

"Again...?" She whispered, almost to quiet for Seth to hear. Seth mentally groaned and stood up walking over to the child. The blonde crouched to the little girl's height and said,

"I know, sweetie. But what if I said that this is the last one?" Seth said softly. Amy looked up and searched Seth's eyes for any kind of lie.

"Last?" Seth nodded with a small smile.

"I won't have to kill again after this last one, we'll get enough beri that we can move and live somewhere where no one can find us. No one will know us and it will be just you and me."

The island was known for the best herbal medicines and the deadly caipall usice races. The races had peaked the red haired captain's interest. Never in his life had he seen a Caipall usice until now. Actually, that was a lie. He had once a long time ago... it had been his first visit to this island.

The young red head, still a part of Gol. D Rodger's crew stood there on the beach, frozen like a deer in the spotlights in front of a beast of a horse. This horse, no, this demon, stared right through his soul. Its eyes were feral and flashed with evil.

"Don't move!" Shanks hesitantly tore his eyes from the Caipall Usice and looked up at a petite girl who was standing atop the cliff. Not the wisest choice of his life to take his sights off of a creature that may very well tear his limbs off one by one. "He will chase you if you chose to flee."

Shanks was mesmerised by her. Her golden locks cascaded down to her knees messily. Her green eyes mixed with the ocean, swirling with mystery and beauty. Her skin was sun kissed and although was covered in marks and dirt, looked smooth.

Without warning, she slid down the cliff towards them. Worried for her safety, Shanks jolted in her direction slightly, alerting the beast in front of him causing him to rear up.

The red head stumbled backwards and landed on his ass. An unlady like snort came from his left where the blonde girl had walked towards Shanks and the water horse.

"Worried about me were we?" She giggled softly.  Shanks' eyes were wide and his cheeks took on a pink hue. He looked back up at the Caipall Usice who danced restless on his feet, as if standing still would kill it.

The girl slowly approached the beast, looking anywhere but directly at its eyes.

"Easy," she intoned, almost like a song. "Shhh." The horse seemed to calm at her hushes and whispers, allowing her to step closer. Once the horse was a arms length, the blonde reached up and placed her palm on its muzzle. She could only just reach it considering the huge size difference.

After the horse seemed calmer, it recoiled from the girl and turned back towards the sea, where it disappeared completely in the depths of the water.

"H-how did you do that?" Shanks asked, getting up and patted the sand off his bum.

"Being away from the sea makes them restless and uneasy. Making that 'shhh' sound reminds them of the waves, so it will relax it slightly." She explained to the mesmerized redhead.

The memory was very hazy, and it was difficult to remember the young girl's features in detail, but he never forgot those deep ocean green eyes and his first meeting with that horse. How could he ever forget the demon of a horse and those deep ocean green eyes that belonged to the girl?

A grin wormed its way onto his lips as an idea popped into his head. To follow the tracks. Shanks wanted to see if it really was the same girl he had met back in his training years.

So, Shanks discretely informed Benn that he would be gone for a while and left him in charge for the time being. Stepping outside of the Tavern, he noticed that the demonic horse had left heavy tracks all the way through the town.

Taking another step away from the tavern, Shanks began to follow the horseshoe tracks.

It took a while but Shanks had finally came to the end of the trail which had led him to a secluded house nestled in a small valley. He hadn't realised that so many strange looking trees and cactus' could grow in such blistering heat, and running streams too. The path towards the house was more rock than sand, and the hoof prints grew fainter as he got closer.

Stopping at the gate to the yard, Shanks placed a hand on the worn gate, as he surveyed the place. There was a stables but he could see no cattle or horses. He frowned slightly. He was so sure that the two had come this way, he had been so excited too.

It was then his breathing hitched and his senses heightened.

Shanks stood there, unmoving, unafraid, but as still as a statue. Hot breath was blown over the back of his neck.

The captain turned ever so slowly, as a feeling of deja-vu overwhelmed him.
