The Cowgirl and the Pirate II. NEWS

Shanks and his crew lazily lounged around on a small island drinking and sleeping, and none of them were expecting Hawkeye Mihawk to visit with some unexpected news. The lazy pirates were disturbed suddenly when one man came running and yelling "boss!". The man fell down on his knees and took in deep breaths to get them back. "H-H-Hawkeye!" He stammered pointing behind him. The pirate's boss Shanks sat under a large umbrella, his face hidden by the shade. The man froze as he felt a powerful aura radiate behind him. He jumped and crawled out of the great swordsman's path.

"Hey there Hawkeye. What do I owe the pleasure?" Shanks greeted Hawkeye in a friendly manner. "You came to fight me? Cause I'm not feeling too good at the moment." His tone still calm.

"Hmph. Now that you've lost your left arm, I have no intention of settling the score." The swordsman answered. "I've recently found an interesting pirate. Seeing him reminded me of a story you used to tell. "Hawkeye said as he took out a piece of rolled up paper and taking a few steps forward. "A story about a boy. A strange boy from a small village." He said unrolling the poster and showing the red haired pirate. Shanks' eyes widened at the poster, as did some of his crew members gasp at it. Shanks' lips stretched into a wide grin.

"Haha Luffy. You made it!" The captain said quietly to himself. "Alright then Hawkeye, in that case, I'm afraid I can't just let you leave, not now."

Shanks' slammed a jug down on a tree stump in front of where Hawkeye now sat. Shanks' let out a hearty laugh and filled the jug with rum, all the way to the top. "Hawkeye! Drink up! Go on tilt it back, it's a celebration!" Shanks said gleefully. Hawkeye raised an eyebrow at Shanks.

"Weren't you hung-over?"

"Ah no, no way not anymore. Drink!" Hawkeye gulped the rum back.

"Let's party!" Shanks shouted out holding his drink high.

"Hold on, there’s one last thing I must show you." Hawkeye said in a serious tone. Shanks frowned but allowed Hawkeye to continue. "There has been this as well." He took another roll of paper and unrolled it for the red haired captain to read.

Shanks' eyebrows were furrowed by this point. He shared a glance at Hawkeye and then looked back at the poster.

"When had this started?" Shanks questioned barely below a whisper.

"About a month ago." Shanks' eye widened once more.

"You're not serious!? A captain, a commander and two of the Baroque Works in a single month! Just gone, like that?" Hawkeye rested his elbows on his knees, interlocked his fingers and rested his chin on his hands. "No one has any clue of who or what it might be but one things for certain."

"And what's that?" Shanks asked the swordsman.

"That whoever it is, is targeting the pirates with the highest ranks, bounty and power."

Nine days earlier

"P-please! I can give you treasure! Lots of it! My ship too, j-just please, spare me!" The middle aged pirate Captain Dice begged on his hands and knees. He had silver hair with a checkered bandana holding it in a low ponytail, a red square for a nose and dice for earrings, hence his name captain Dice. The sinister figure looming over the quivering man was more than disgusted at his quick surrender. He had used his crew as mere pawns and ran at the last moment only to get caught. The female's eyes narrowed at the pathetic excuse for a man let alone a pirate! Her icy glare sent chills down the captain's spine. The woman said one last thing before she ended his life.

"Fool. You should know better than to hide behind others." She said in monotone voice. The female lifted her strange blade to the man's pulsating neck. She would have preferred to give the captain a slow and painful death for punishment of being a coward but she decided in the end to get it over with. Another small girl popped her head around the corner seeing that the coast was clear. Her long blonde hair cascaded around her tiny frame almost like a cocoon. Her skin was a ghostly white and her eyes were a misty grey. The girl strangely carried an ancient looking skull cradled in her arms as if it were something very precious. She ran over to the older female who stood before the quivering captain. Without warning the atmosphere in the cabin suddenly grew cold and icy chills ran up and down the captain's spine. Ice cracked and formed on the ceiling of the cabin. A ghost of a smirk grew on the woman's lips, and a loud gasp came from the frightened captain. Her eyes had changed! Her Eyes Are That Of A Demon's! Was all he screamed inside his head.

In an instant the captain's head slipped from his sweating neck and with a soft thud hit the floor, lifeless. She had been so quick that the act had been invisible to the naked eye. The cold air and mist dispersed and the ship returned to it's normal temperature. The gothic Lolita like girl looked up at her older sibling with a disappointed look.

"Third one. Failure." She said with a monotone voice. The woman nodded and turned walking out of the captain's cabin, the gothic lolita following close at her heels.

"Let's return to the island."
