8:06 PM | Seoul, South Korea
Taeyong puts the last folded clothes in his bag and zips it close. He picks the heavy bag up and placed it at one corner of his room, where there were boxes kept.
His family will move out to the USA. It will be his first time living out of his country, South Korea. As much as he's nervous about it, he's also excited about it.
But one thing that worries him is that he's not fluent in English. He can speak the basics, but not much. He hopes to learn the foreign language as quickly as possible.
Their flight is the next day at noon. But they will have to wake up early to cook the breakfast and pack the rest of the stuff like beds, dining table and kitchen furniture and materials.
But one thing is that he will miss his friends in South Korea. Doyoung, Taeil, Yuta and Sicheng. Yuta and Sicheng are already dating. Whereas Doyoung and Taeil, both have feelings for each other but the bitches are way too cowards to not confess.
Taeyong, Yuta and Sicheng always try to pursue them but nope they won't confess. They have given up at this point. Today he had met up with them, and they all cried.
But they promised to meet again. And Taeyong for sure will return to Korea just to meet them. He doesn't know when but he will. He unlocked his phone and went to his gallery, scrolling through all their pictures, smiling.
But then a knock was heard on the door. He diverted his gaze at the door to find out his brother, Donghyuck, was peeking inside with a small smile.
"Mom told me to call you for dinner." He said and closed the door behind him, walking away, his faint steps being unheard after some time.
However, Taeyong can't help but notice the pain in his brother's voice. He was also acting differently. Usually, Donghyuck will just barge inside the room and throw some random stuff before leaving while yelling that dinner is ready.
Taeyong knew why. Donghyuck is also hurt. He also has a friend here whom he doesn't want to leave, and that is no other than Doyoung's cousin, Jungwoo.
But was there any option? Nope. Their father has been transferred to the USA and they all will have to go. Taeyong stood up, walked out of the room and closed the door behind him making a thud noise.
He walked down the stairs to the dining room where his family was sitting already. Taeyong sat beside Donghyuck who was being unusually quiet.
"Wake up at 5 in the morning tomorrow, we have to do the rest of the packing too before leaving." His mother announced, putting rice on his plate.
"Are you both excited?" His dad asked, smiling at them.
"I'm very excited. New environment and everything, it all will be so fun. But my only problem is that I can only speak the basics of English." Taeyong said, stuffing his mouth with the noodles.
"It's ok you will learn. I'm glad you're happy. Donghyuck, what about you?" He asked, looking at Donghyuck.
"I'm excited, very much." He said but the dullness in his voice was obvious than any other thing.
"Haechan, I know you don't want to leave your friends behind but we've no option for now. You know we can still come back here for vacations, right?" Her mom softly said, ruffling his hair but he only silently nodded, munching on his rice.
The mom sighed and took back her hand, looking at her husband, who was also looking at her, as if having an eye to eye conversation.
Taeyong just sat awkwardly in the middle of the silent chaos, not knowing what to do. He can comfort anyone but not his brother, his brother let's say is kind of complicated.
He has tried multiple times to comfort him but all of the attempts failed. He really wishes he can do something about it.
The rest of the dinner went silently with only the sounds of the spoons and chopsticks clattering. Donghyuck was the first to finish and go back to his room, as expected.
Just a few minutes after that, Taeyong completed the dinner and after wishing them a good night, walked back to his room. Before going to his bed, he took a moment to admire his room for the last time.
The random messy drawings and paintings on the wall which were made by him and his brother, the posters on the door which were now ripped off and kept in one of the boxes, he will miss it all.
He looked at his wrist, where a beautiful neon green band was with we will be together written on it in white colour. He recognised the handwriting, it was Doyoung's.
Today when they met up, Doyoung brought these handmade bands for all of them. Told them to keep it as a sign of their friendship and never lose it.
Someone may call them dramatic for this, but only they know and understand each other's pain. It's not easy to leave some people behind who's been there for you always and who means the world to you.
They made a promise and will make sure to keep it till their last breath. That's how dedicated they are. Yes, that's how much their friendship is strong, that nothing can separate them.
Heaving a sigh, Taeyong spread out his hands in the air and stretched before dropping himself on his bed and covering himself with the soft pink blanket.
He was about to close his eyes but then realised that he has not turned the light off. Groaning, he pushed himself and while aggressively stomping his feet like a kid, turned the light off.
He ran back to his bed and covered himself again as if someone was chasing him from behind. He scooped himself, getting more comfortable warmth before drifting off to sleep.
