8:20 AM | Seoul, South Korea

It's been a few weeks since the incident, and Taeyong had entirely gotten better. And hence, he started to go to school.

It will be the first time in four weeks that he will keep a step on his school grounds. He picked up his backpack from the study table.

He felt its heaviness as he swung it over his shoulder, bending down to tie his shoelace. Standing up, he tidied up his shirt and walked out of the room, greeting his mother a good morning.

"Good morning dear. Ready to go to school after such a long time?" She asked as she brought over his breakfast on the table.

"Excited and nervous." Replied Taeyong, and jerked out a chair to sit. Donghyuck, his brother, has already sat to have breakfast.

Seeing him, reminded Taeyong of Mark. He sighed, knowing it was all just a beautiful nightmare that he had, and that he needs to wipe out thinking about it and focus on what was real.

"Hello? Taeyong?" His mother snapped him out of his dreamland, as he shook his head and gave a little smile, before digging into his food.

"We have a new student in our school," Donghyuck spoke out, as to start a conversation.

"What is new about that?" Taeyong raised a question.

"He is rumored to be from the United States of America," Donghyuck made in reply to Taeyong's question.

This rang another bell in Taeyong's head about Jaehyun. Jaehyun. Jaehyun. And Jaehyun. He just can't concentrate on anything else. Only his name and familiar face occupied his time and mind.

"Great, I guess," Taeyong said, biting on his food. The conversation passed away out there. After they had finished, they hugged their mother goodbye and started to walk to school.

On the way, he came across all his friends, waiting for him.

"Finally! It was lonely without you." Yuta exclaimed as he hung his arm over his shoulder.

"I have loads to catch up to. Let's go." Taeyong said.

"Wait, let's do something fun and new," Taeil declared.

"Like what?" Doyoung inquired.

"Let's race to school! Whoever comes last will have to give a treat." Taeil suggested.

"Oh no." Sicheng sighed.

"Oh yes," Yuta said.

"But, will Taeyong be able to run?" Doyoung asked worriedly.

"I have fully recovered."

"So what are we waiting for?" Taeil exclaimed.

They all stood in a line, and on the count of three by Yuta, they all started to run.

The sound of their feet thumping could be heard throughout the neighborhood, as some people hissed as they couldn't get their peaceful morning, while some dogs started to bark, in anger or enthusiasm, who knows?

The school was coming closer, for the school gate was now in their view. They put their full power and finally reached the school gate. And surprisingly, Sicheng was the first one to reach, whereas Taeil was the last.

"No!" Taeil screamed, falling to his knees, his head in his hands.

"You lost buddy. I will be waiting for your treat." Yuta said, patting Taeil on his back.

"I will make sure it is poisoned." Spoke Taeil, as he stood up, getting back from the short time trauma he just had.

"You will regret it yourself, 'cause after I die, I will be haunting you." Yuta laughed.

"It is your own fault Taeil. Anyways, I will be heading to my class, see you guys during lunch." Sicheng spoke and went on and turned around, leaving them alone.

"It was a close shot. I am the second last." Sighed Taeyong, keeping a hand on his chest. Doyoung patted his back in encouragement.

They waved each other goodbye and went on their way to their classes. Taeyong smiled, thinking about his friends and how happy and distracted they make him from his worries.

But his heart stopped a beat, his eyes widened and his lips let out a gasp when he caught sight of someone.

Is it real? Or is he dreaming again? It must be a dream. He nodded to himself and pinched his arm to check, but no, he was in reality.

Cause, in front of him, was standing no one else but Jaehyun, who stared keenly at him.

"Are you Jaehyun?"

"Are you Taeyong?" Both of them asked at the same time, blinking.

Taeyong took a step closer to Jaehyun and ruffled his hair. They were still as soft as they used to be.

"Are you real?" Taeyong asked.

"I should be asking you that, after all, you were the one who appeared in my coma."

"But you appeared in my coma!" Taeyong exclaimed, and then, that was the moment, they realized what happened.

They met in a coma, with Taeyong being the newcomer, and now they meet in reality, with Jaehyun being the newcomer.

"Oh my God." And as soon as Taeyong whispered that, Jaehyun pulled him closer to him, and their lips met, melting into each other's love.

Finally, after they pulled away, they confessed what there was left in their coma.

"I love you."

The ways of destiny to bring two lovers together are sometimes so unreal yet so true. The worst nightmare started from the wrong seat, in a coma. But then, by fate, they were brought together.

To think, that all those sweet moments you dreamed of, with someone, come true in the same way, is so unrealistic yet for them, it was true.
