Epilogue

"W__e u_."

"Wake up!"

Shuichi's eyes slowly opened up. All around him was white. Completely white. 

It's as if he entered a black hole that is not even black but white. And silent.

Well, it wasn't silent for long.

"Finally you woke up after 2 fucking weeks. What an adventure you had been in, huh? How was it? How was the people? Are you aware you were 21 years old in that world?"

Shuichi blinked before finally processing properly. "A-Ah! Wh-where am I?"

"You answered me with another question!" The voice groaned before clearing their throat. "You're nowhere. Anyways, you're in the process of being back to your own body! Isn't that great?" 

"Surprisingly spent 2 weeks being unconscious? Pain."

"Stop being such a mood already."

"Can you tell me what happened...?"

"Okay! Let me just add a warning. BIG PARAGRAPH INCOMING!"

"Why's that neccesary-" Shuichi was about to say when he got cut off.

"So apparently you spent about maybe a month or less in a world where you are 21 years old. You are a detective FOR REALZ and had to hunt down the famous Phantom Thief and which you spotted and figured out that it was Kokichi Ouma. Not surprising, considering his Ultimate Talent! Anyways, yada yada yada, you got stuck with the Ultimate Soldier, Mukuro Ikusaba and got stabbed in both arms and chest. You were unconscious for 2 weeks and now you're here. I got some last words from the Kokichi Ouma, if you are interesting in hearing it."

"That's kinda too much to consume into my mind," Shuichi mumbled.

"So? Do you want to hear your beloved grape's last words for you?"

Shuichi nodded, not sure whether to regret it.

"I love you!"

"Huh?"

"That sounded like a cheesy way of confessing, huh? He told me to tell you that he had feelings for you. And real quick too!"

Shuichi was baffled. "That's all?"

"'That's all?' Really? I expected a blush or some flustered type off face coming out of you!" The voice groaned. "What did I expect... he doesn't realize his own feelings yet..." they murmured under their breath.  "Well, at least you still have another Grape Man that'll start confessing to yah."

"... did he really... like me? And not another lie?"

"He was too tired to lie, comparable to 'too tired to be angry,' you get that?"

"So... he actually loved me-?"

"... I am so done. Let this process finish already!"

The Ultimate Detective's surroundings turned glitchy, red, blue, green, all sorts of colors. Shuichi doesn't know what was happening, but his mind started hurting. "Gh!" He gripped onto his head as it can stop the pain.

The pain got more intense by only the slightest bit and black consumes over.

"Is he... okay?" A male voice asked.

"Kaito, does it look like he's alright?" A female but monotone voice answered back.

"... Nope!" The male voice declined nervously.

"The Ultimate Idiot! Nishishi!" Another male voice announced with his signature laugh at the end. The other male can be heard growling.

"Shut up, you little grem... just be quiet, Ouma."

"Oh. He's waking up." The female said.

"Sidekick! You there? Open your eyes!" The male shook the body.

"Don't force them to open their eyes, ass-tronaut! And stop shaking him!"

Shuichi's eyes woke up. He looked around and saw they were back in the dome again. "Momota-kun... Harakuwa-san... Ouma-kun... where are we?"

"We're on the 1st floor of the building we tried escaping through!" Kaito declared.

"Funny how we spent the last few days getting down here. It took us 1 week to get down from the... 300th floor...?" Maki was unsure. "My memory's all fogged up. Anyways, we're glad you're awake. That stupid person brought you down here."

"'S-stupid person?'" Shuichi nervously repeated. 

"Shumai Shumai!" Kokichi said, gaining the detective's attention. "Did you know Kaito had hit a ton of obstacles on the way down?" He laughed. "He hit the pole during a pitfall drop, and he got a ball hit on his face!"

"That's not something to laugh about, Ouma!" Kaito growled as he lifted Kokichi's shirt up.

"He's trying to change the mood, idiot," Maki pointed out before getting up. Shuichi got up too.

"So what now?"

"The voice should open up a door by now."

"On cue!" The voice exclaimed through the monitor, scaring the hats off of Shuichi. He looked at his friends and sees them unbothered. "How are you guys not startled?!"

"This person keeps doing that to us during our trip down, we're used it this shit by then."

The dome shook before a rectangle shape appeared on the dome. It opened up and a white light shone out. Maki was the first to enter the door.

The three males hesitantly waited. After Maki didn't come back, Kaito nervously poked his head in. "Yup, we're good. Adios, sidekick!" And he was gone.

As Kokichi was about to go next, Shuichi stopped him.

"Hm? What would My be-!"

"... See you back, Kokichi," Shuichi said before entering the door with a darker shade of pink forming on his cheeks. Kokichi stood there in shock as his cheeks burned up.

'Did... Shumai... kiss me?'

Note: I am finally ending another book! To be honest, I don't know whether to be proud of this because it seemed too rushed and is not enough to satisfy your expectations. This is my first DRV3 book and I'm working on another one! Hopefully you guys understand, and sorry for this ending! (I also tried doing angst but I'm not at that level yet)
