I don't know why I am having difficulties of choosing what I want to wear kung dadalawa lang naman 'tong pang-formal ko?
Half an hour have passed and still wala parin akong napipili. This is so frustrating.
I stand again infront of the body length mirror, contemplating what color will match the event for today. Black or gray? I sighed and picked the black. Well, not bragging but I look good on this.
"Maganda kaya magiging first impression ko sa interview? Hmm, I wonder how their company works" I murmured to myself while changing. It's 7 in the morning and Geilan said she would pick me up at 8 or baka nga mas maaga pa do'n dahil gusto pa nitong makipagchika, typical Geilan Reeve Sarmiento.
Lord please!
Sa Silverstone ay diretsahan na daw agad, after interview, they'll choose right away kung sino ang ihi-hire. And then after that day, start of work agad! So kailangan ko talagang makapasok sa silverstone para magtugma sa schedules namin sa school.
A car beeped outside startling me from my reverie. Tamad talaga nitong umakyat dito. "Coming!"
Pagkababa ko ay sakto ring bumaba ang bintana ng sasakyan ni Geilan, revealing her with her classy sunglasses. She waved at me and I rolled my eyes at her.
"Ang sosyal mo naman, madam" I uttered while placing myself in the passenger seat.
"I know, alipin" she replied gesturing her hand to me. I rolled my eyes at her again, hindi na talaga ako magtataka kung after ilang years ay maduduling na ako dahil sa kakaikot ng mata ko bawat oras na kasama si Geilan.
"Where should we head first?" I asked her while glancing outside the car's window. I don't know what I was sight seeing here, there's nothing really special, just vehicles with dark smoke, tall buildings that looks so creepy and the busy people of the city. Those sights weren't that pleasing in the eye, really.
"Ang sabi sa email ay 9:30 ang interview sa Empress Marketing at later 1 pm naman sa Silverstone. Mabuti nga at hindi nagkatugma ang oras ng interview, dahil kung oo, nako!" I nodded subtly. That's really a problem kung nagkatugma man.
"Have you practiced how will you introduce yourself?" I rolled my eyes for the nth time. "I did not practice, but I have noted in my mind some useful infos para mabudol ang interviewer though it's credible" at bakit ba magpapractice? I'm sure they will not ask you to introduce yourself infront of them, they'll just read your resume and shot you with questions directly.
"What? You did not? Baka mautal ka, ha! Oh, V! How I wish they will ask me about my hobby, I actually wrote it in my resumé. In the name of your kamalditahan, V!" She said proudly. Ano bang mapapalang matino ko dito sa babaeng 'to? Sighing deeply, I got my folder at the back seat together with Geilan's documents. I'd rather review about how the company we are applying works than practicing my introduction lines. That, make more sense for sure.
"We're here!" The car stopped abruptly that almost gave me a heart attack. "Ano ka ba! Did you really passed your driving lessons?!" I glared at the pouting Geilan. Ugh, that's a cringey face! "Sorry na, V! I actually passed the driving class no, I even got--" hindi ko na pinatuloy siya sa sasabihin niya at lumabas na ako sa sasakyan, dahil sigurado akong mags-speech na naman 'yon at magiging dahilan pa ng pagiging late namin. I wouldn't want that as our first impression, tardy workers.
The interview with the Empress Marketing ended well, I guess. If only Geilan did not almost talked about where she was born. They almost took 1 hour and mine was only like about 15 minutes? I wonder what they were talking about.
