After Anna hung up on me, I dragged my arms across the dining room table, knocking everything off. Being the irrational idiot I was, the candles were still lit, making a little fire from all the painting tarps. There goes my romantic 'I'm sorry that I missed our anniversary' dinner.

"I get that I'm not the most- the best at saying... stuff, but I really don't appreciate you that much and I'm sorry. I get that you have a life and that you want your own freedom. We don't live in the 1930s anymore and women really aren't considered to be fragile pieces of china- I get that but I don't want you hurt. Heck, women nowadays can even enter political office. I'm sure you could make it as the next president, Anna, but I don't give you opportunities to prove yourself or to try new things. I'm going to change that as soon as I can. I promise you that much!" I ranted to no one in particular, after I had finished however, I heard rustling in the bushes near the window. Going over to investigate I found a pile of black sand.

Weird.

I need to go find Anna.

Authors Note: Sorry this one is so short but I needed suspense and a lead into the next chapter so this was the best transition. :) Thanks for reading.
