Better

Liam always thought that if he ever falls in love with someone, it would be either love at first sight or it would be just friends into lovers.

1. Love at first sight. As in he would just look at the person and the person will make an eye contact with him and then boom! he'll know that he's in love.

2. Friends into lovers. Which is what usually happens. They'll become friends at first and then they'd slowly catch feelings for eachother.

But was it ever so easy as he thought?

In his 15th birthday he just wished his life to be better. Guess what happened? He got bit by a psycho at the hospital while he was almost dying.

Well that was what he thought at first before all that happened. Time passed, Scott became more like a dad type of brother to him. Everyone in the McCall pack became the most important people of his life.

About falling in love though.. ever since he got into the pack, it was so hard for him to actually dating. He dated Hayden. Who was his first girlfriend. He thought he was in love with him. Until she left him, which he understood why. She had to, to save her sister from the supernatural, she had to. It took him a while to get over it. But eventually he got over it.

He promised himself that he wouldn't date until he goes to college. But there was something else that he couldn't ignore anymore.

Theo Raeken.

The bastard who would always try to get into his nerves. Who would always punch him. Who would always say things that didn't make SENSE!

It was that until, that psycho sacrificed himself for Liam. Until he saved Liam. Until he anchored him. Until he became an important person in Liam's life. He couldn't understand why a person like Theo would care about him. And the craziest thing is that he cared about Theo too.

Maybe this was all Scott's fault..

When Scott left for college with his girlfriend Malia and his friends, almost every old member from the McCall pack, it was Liam's responsibility to look after Theo and it was Theo's responsibility to anchor Liam at his worst times. Or that's what Scott said, to look out for eachother.

It was one day he suddenly went to Theo's room and saw him crying. He asked why and,

"She took my heart." Theo said. Liam knew Theo had nightmares. And he knew what were they about so he just put his arms around Theo and hugged him tightly. Let Theo cry on his shoulder. His heart ached for the older boy. He never understood why he would feel bad for the person he hated before.

Or maybe... After some time he started feeling this weird tingle in his stomach, felt like some puppies running around his stomach whenever Theo touched him. He couldn't control his heartbeat or chemo signals around Theo. He couldn't help but blush when Theo would compliment about his history rambling. (Even though he would never admit)

Maybe It also hurt when he saw Theo with other girls or boys. He felt his stomach twisting and he couldn't stop thinking about Theo. He was familiar with this feeling. He knew it was jealousy but still didn't want to admit it to himself.

One day, He suddenly blurted out "how did you know you were gay?" And Mason replied,

"This is about Theo, isn't it?" Liam just sat there dumbfounded and opened his mouth to say something but Mason interrupted him.

"It's okay." Mason said and explained how he'd know that he has feelings for Theo. Liam just blushed and went home that night.

He.. had feelings for Theo (maybe) and.. the only person he could talk about his feelings was Theo. Although Mason already knew.

He opened the front door and saw Theo already waiting for him.

"Hey" he said taking his shoes off.

"Hey" Theo said softly.

"Were... You...uh waiting for me?" Liam said slowly and Theo tensed up.

"Yeah..NO I actually.." Liam just stared at the nervous boy, waiting for him to finish the answer.

"You're never so late.. and I asked Jenna when she was leaving for work, she said that you.. were probably on a date so.." Theo said slowly with a nervous look on his face.

Liam never in his life saw Theo Raeken so nervous before. His heart skipped a few beats. So did Theo's.

"I- no I wasn't I think she was just kidding." Liam nervously laughed as he saw Theo smiling a little.

"You had Dinner?" Liam asked after some moments.

"No actually I was waiting for you." Theo said casually. Which made Liam's stomach fill with those puppies running around again. (But he wouldn't admit)

"Soo.. let's have dinner, together" Liam said softly trying to hide the blush. Theo looked at him and smiled.

They had dinner together. Which ended up having a argument about history and biology.

"No- biology is just stupid and I don't wanna be a doctor so why should I even-" he looked at Theo who was looking at him right back, with a small smile. Then he came closer to Liam who's breath was already taken away.

"Biology is better. You gotta agree with the fact that biology is just.." Theo whispered into Liam's ear, "better" he finished his sentence smirking. Liam just stood there not knowing what to do. He didn't get how such a person like Theo can be so damn smooth. But he's not that easy to get. No Liam isn't easy either.

"History is better. I can argue all day-" Theo just gapped the distance between them and pressed his lips against Liam's, softly to shut him up. Obviously. Liam didn't quite expect what was happening. So when he finally understood that Theo was actually kissing him, he kissed back, wrapping his arms around Theo's neck.

When the kiss ended. Theo looked at Liam who was still a little bit shocked from the kiss.

"You just kissed me" Liam spoke softly, Looking at Theo's swollen lips.

Theo shallowed and looked nervous again.

"I- um" Theo mumbled. Liam knew that Theo always mumbled stuff when he was nervous.

"No- no, it's okay. It was perfect." Liam said and smiled. He saw Theo's lips also pulled into a beautiful smile. A genuine smile. The one he loved.

"Good" Theo said and pulled Liam into a longer kiss. It was perfect. It really was.

This was so much different than what Liam had expected from childhood. But it was a 'better different'. It was so much better than he ever thought. He finally realized that maybe something different makes you a better person. Just like Theo makes him a better person. He didn't know what was happening, but one thing he knew about this thing is they could work out.
