Dumbass

For the moment they were both silent. Laying in Liam's bed, facing the ceiling above them, Liam took a deep breath. It was just the two of them enjoying silence together. It was their everyday thing to calm down and rest time after they finish their homeworks.

Liam enjoyed every second of it. They were completely silent, there barely any sound in Liam's room. Save for the soft ticking of the clock, and Theo's calm heartbeat.

Oh, and Theo's scent. It was so calming. Liam turned his head a little so that he can get a better view of the boy laying next to him.

Liam would be lying if he said Theo wasn't pretty. Theo sure as hell was pretty and damn, don't even remind Liam of how hot he was.

If you asked Liam why he had a crush on Theo two years before, he would probably laugh at your face.

Liam quickly turned his attention to the celling before face turned red and heart started racing.

Suddenly, Theo whispered "Hey, Liam?"

"Hm?"

"I like you."

Liam froze. What the fuck? Liam stared at Theo who gave him a hesitant smile. He let out a laugh. "Ah Theo, I like you too. I think we established that a while ago? That we don't hate eachother and we're friends!"

Theo just blinked then slowly realized. "Are you- Jesus, Liam" Theo let out a frustrated breath.

"I like you, Liam. As in, I'm into you. I have a massive fucking crush on you. I like you."

Again, Liam stared at Theo. What the heck is he talking about? "No, you don't. You literally came out to me as gay like a month ago."

"That's because I like you, dumbass. And Jesus, fuck Liam. You're a dude. Not a girl."

Liam just shook his head. He let out a nervous laugh. "No that's not... possible? I- I like you but.. but-"

Liam had no clue what was going on. Which was a common thing in his daily life.

Theo let out a breath. "Stand up for a bit." he suggested. They both got up even though Liam was confused as hell.

Once they stood up, Theo came over to Liam. Gripping his shoulders, he spoke. "Liam, listen to me carefully okay?" Liam looked at Theo's eyes and nodded. Theo gave him a little smile.

"I like you. Like romantically, not just like a friend. And I'm gay because I realized I have a massive crush on you. This isn't a joke, okay? I'm serious. Because I want to kiss the fuck outta you and God, you're so attractive I just wanna give you a smooch on the forehead."

"You-" Liam's voice came out hoarse. "You want to do what?" Eyes wide open, he looked at Theo who gave him a gentle smile.

"I want to kiss you. But only if you want me to." 

"I do." Liam blurted out. "But- but I don't know what the fuck I'd be doing I mean-" Liam stuterd.

Theo laughed, stepping closer to Liam.

"Liam, it's okay. Look, I like you. So damn much and I've been making it really obvious for the past few months. I know you like me, too. I've known it for a while since you don't do a very good job at hiding it. But that's okay. That's another thing I like about you. And how am I supposed to not fall for you're being so fucking nice to me and calming me down. God, I like you so damn much." Liam's cheeks heated up as soon as he heard Theo.

So, all Liam said was, "Kiss me, then."

Theo gave him a shy smile before softly placing his lips on Liam's, cupping his face with his hands, which were warm but not as warm as Liam's heated up cheeks. Liam's eyes fluttered shut.

Theo was so gentle that it melted away all Liam's worries.

Maybe their mouths weren't moving in pure sync but it felt very tender that Liam might pass out if Theo wasn't holding him. Liam hesitatingly placed his hands on Theo's face, who smiled.

Theo was the first one to pull away.

"You okay there?" He asked in a hoarse voice. Liam slowly opened his eyes.

"Yeah." He muttered under his breath.

"Do you- was that okay?" Liam saw the genuine worry on Theo's face. He couldn't believe Theo liked him. To be honest, he didn't know if this was a dream or reality. He never thought Theo would like him back. He always thought Theo was gonna leave him like the others did. He never knew Theo could be this gentle. A smile spread across his face.

"Yeah, that was- that was more than okay." Liam blushed. Theo looked his lips and when he was going to lean in Liam backed off with a squeak. Theo looked surprised.

"Wait.. wait so, I thought you were an atheist? You just said god, and Jesus you-"

"Shut up and let me kiss you." Liam stopped talking and kissed Theo. 

That's what they did for the next half an hour. Or an hour. To be honest, Liam lost track of time.

It was just the two of them. It was just him and Theo. Nothing more, nothing less. And Liam was happy.
