Suddenly everyone was looking at him.
»Oh no!«, I whispered.
Daisys facial expressions started to melt and she suddenly started to cry, as we heard the high heel steps, coming towards us.
»What is going on here?«, Mrs. King asked irritably.
»Nick slapped me!«, Daisy cried.
Her crying was fake, you could obviously see that. However, Mrs. King really believed the shit, they were saying. Nick was in trouble and I didn't know what to do.»Come with me!«, she ordered. Nick gave me a pleading look. His eyes were saying that I should do something, but what could I do? Mrs. King wouldn't believe us straight people anyways. His mouth was slightly open and he looked like, he wanted to say something. He followed Mrs. King, as he kept looking at me. I heard, you can get arrested by the school, if you slap a girl. Daisy deserved it, they definitely were the definition of evil.
Later we went to Mr. Jones' class. The first time I couldn't focus on his lesson. It felt so cold and I still thought about Nick. I felt sorry for him and I would do anything, to be the one, going to the principle. People were distracted by Nicks case. Even Tyler, who couldn't get his attitude, was angry. Suddenly my boyfriend came in and took a seat next to me.
»What happened?«, I whispered.
He looked at the board and said with coolness: »I got suspended. I must leave Sunday.«
A cold shiver ran down my back. I felt my eyes getting wetter. I couldn't control myself of crying. My knees started to shake. He was my only friend in this school for days and I didn't want him to leave. I wanted to do something so badly. Suddenly I started to cry. Nick bite his lip and I noticed, Mr. Jones was looking at me.
»Claudia is everything okay?«
Everyone began to talk and he freaked out: »What is so interesting today, that you are not following my lessons?«, he shouted.I winced and swallowed hard, while I was watching the floor. His tone was telling me, that I annoyed him and I didn't like to feel that way. The atmosphere was serious in this room. It was silent. After that, most of the people, left the room.
»Claudia, Nick I want you to stay here.«, Mr. Jones told us. We turned around and he closed the door, like yesterday.
»I wanted to apologize for my behavior today. I am just so frustrated with this separation.«
I nodded: »It's fine. The reason I freaked out was because of Mrs. King.«
»Yeah, she kicked me out of the school, because I slapped Daisy on their face.«
Mr. Jones laughed. Nick and I couldn't understand, why exactly he did that. We looked at each other and sighed.
»Sorry guys I just wanted to tell you something crazy.«
Oh no, he is now telling us some shit about moments in his life. That would be really boring. I rolled my eyes and just wanted to leave this room and find a solution with Nick alone. But suddenly he said something, what shocked us:
»Mrs. King is the murder of David!«
I raised my eyebrows and thought I couldn't hear right. This must be a joke! My breathing started to get heavier.
»No!«, Nick whispered.
I was in shock and panic. Our headmaster was a fucking murderer! She killed someone and must have a reason for it. She was able to kill someone, without batting an eyelash. That meant, she could kill everyone, at least... theoretically, but wow. I couldn't stay silent for so long. Suddenly I felt my breath getting heavier and stronger. I couldn´t pretend, that I didn´t know from all this. I had the urge, telling everyone, who the murderer was. She could kill us all.»Why didn't you tell us sooner?«, I asked loud.
»Because she said, we should stay silent. It was for the reputation of this boarding school, for protecting it.«
I couldn't trust this school. This was fucking criminal and people could go to jail for this.
He went closer to me: »Okay, hear me out. I have a plan. We can stop the separation. I loaded some surveys on the school-cloud today morning and tomorrow, right before the first lesson, we'll stop this. Everyone is going to the auditorium and I'll give a speech.«
We nodded and with anger, Nick left the room.
I ran to him and had the urge to let my feelings out on Mrs. King. What I thought about her and so on.
