I Need a Hug

Friends?

Finally after a week of waiting, the time has come. Why am I making this sound like they're going to war? They're going to something far worse... School. Noah decided that he would meet up with Kate at her house. She was wearing her green shorts and her creeper sweater and Noah was wearing his blue jeans and his enderman sweater. They both packed a lunch and a binder. Kate hugged Alex and Steve goodbye and left.

"I can't believe we're actually going to high school!" Kate said closing the door behind her.

"Yeah. Do think we're ready?" Noah asked. She shrugged. They turned onto the gravel road, leading to the town.

"There's only one way to find out," She said both nervous and somewhat excited.

They both walked along the empty road to the town quietly. After about 30 minutes of walking, they came to the town.

It was a kinda small, flat valley filled with house and stores. The town was surprisingly quiet, to quiet. They walked along the empty sidewalk but stopped at a HUGE buzzing crowd. So big that it was probably the whole town! They heard screaming, shouting and crying. Then they heard an ambulance and police cars coming there way. They heard car doors open and close and felt police rub past them roughly. They look over they're shoulder at the parked ambulance and saw two men rushing out of the back with a stretcher. The men ran straight through the crowd with ease and disappeared. Just when it couldn't have gotten busier, the news crew came with big cameras and very loud voices.

"What's happening?!" Kate yelled at Noah.

"I don't know!" He replied. "Let's go see!"

She nodded and followed Noah through the crowd. People where so being so rough that they were almost falling and jumping on each other. Finally they got to the middle of the crowd and looked around to see what the buzz was about. They looked down at the ground and they're blood went cold.

There laid in front of them, a dead body, covered with blood. The body looked like it had been a teenage girl, who had been murdered. Stabbed. They looked at the news crew who were pointing and screaming over the crowds chaos.

"Let's get out of here!" Noah screamed. Kate nodded and did as told. Finally they managed to crawl through the crowd and quickly ran to the school without looking back. When they were far enough away from the screaming crowd they started to walk.

"Was that person... Dead?" Kate muttered.

"I'm afraid so." Noah replied looking at the ground. There was a silence.

"We need to get to school. We'll be late soon." Kate said picking up the pace.

They soon got to high school and saw lots of other teens in groups of mostly four or five. The school was fairly big and was made out of bricks. They walked through the two iron doors. Inside there were many, many lockers. The walls were a very light blue and the tiles on the floor were a pattern of light blue and white.

"Hm... Not exactly what I thought it would be like." Kate said still amazed by how it turned out. Noah turned to her.

"What did you think it'd be like?" He asked.

"I thought it'd be like where the devil lived." Kate answered giggling. They saw a sign that said 'office' and a arrow pointing to a little room. They went inside and a lady with short brown hair and a plaid dress was sitting at the desk. She looked up at the two and smiled.

"Hello!" She greeted. "Come in, I won't bite!"

They both slowly walked in awkwardly. The lady stood up and skipped over.

"I'm Mrs.Gilums. You must be the new students!" Mrs.Gilums said shaking their hands. "I'll just need your forms and then I can let you go to class."
