After the talk with Brix, I never saw and heard about him. I ignored them and ran away from him whenever I saw him from afar. Brix is one of my most extended best friends, who's been with me since we were children, if I recall. We never fought, not until now.
"Hey, Lille. We have a meeting in our House later tonight." I nodded at Hertzel, one of the officials too. Maybe, it's time for the Blazes again.
I took my books as I went to the room. It's pretty heavy. If only I could use flight.
My eyes widened when my books went swiftly out of my arms. I was ready to shriek at the one who took my books when I saw who it was.
"Ryle?" I asked if it was him.
"I'm heading in the same direction," he stated as if that explained why he helped me. Ryle is one of the 'heartthrobs' in this school. He's undeniably handsome, I may say; those dark smokey eyes complement his dark aura. He has naturally black hair, fierce-looking eyes, and sweet peach-colored lips. His dark atmosphere is perfect in him.
"Thanks," I manage to say out of all the shrieking and giggling girls in our department.
"Can you tell Sybil that I'm here outside?"
My brow raised. "Sybil? As in Sybil Willows?" I wanted to confirm.
"Yes," I nodded. What's Sybil's deal, again?
I went over to my room and instantly looked for Sybil. I placed my books right next to him.
I keep tapping his shoulder. "Hey, Ryle is down there waiting for you."
He looked at me, confused. "Ryle Clove?" I nodded. "What does he want?" He asked.
"Duh, as if I know. Just go down there," I said.
"Must be about being a heartthrob again!" I heard him exclaim before he went on his way.
Nothing happened after that. I'm bored as h*ll, and I'm still here waiting for the other members in our House to gather in our building hall.
"Well, it seems like that's all of us." President Locke Quintin Mist II, a.k.a Kai, is also the son of our Dean.
"I'm the president of the Hoshizora house, as you just heard. I want to welcome all new students to the House. Please, introduce yourselves." Kai stated, and new students introduced themselves, and that included Sybil.
"I'll be discussing the upcoming Blaze and the juniors and seniors' jobs in our team bodybuilding. And let's not forget about the Wings." I heard a lot of complains and curses coming from junior students. I, too, also frown; this only means one thing; hard work.
"Oh, come on now. You only do this once a year." This time Astra stated, the vice president and the other princess I know.
"Why? What do Wings mean?" I even heard Sybil ask.
"Wings is when junior high students teach something to first-year students. Astra has assigned two students in each Junior student."
"Pres Kai, why two?!" Zedrick exclaimed, some engineering junior student; I looked at Senior Kai. Yeah! Last year, they only got one each!
"It's because we counted the number of freshmen, and it got doubled this year." Senior Kai explained. It means hard work, indeed.
"Uhmm, I have a question." Everybody's gaze went to Sybil, who talked.
"I'm new here, and I'm a junior student. Do these Wings include me too?" Oh, right.
"Yes, Mr. Willows. Wings are not about how long you've been here but what you can teach them." Well, that's true. It's called Wings for us, the juniors. If the parents help their children to fly independently, we teach them to nurture and grow more. So, in conclusion, we support what parents have started for their children. It's junior students' task because the seniors are too busy cause they're graduating.
"I'll arrange everything; listen—first, the Wings. Then, I'll discuss the team-building of our house. Is everyone okay with that?" Senior Kai said. Every time I see Senior Kai, I can see a leader. He would always seem severe, but there was this one time when I saw him talking to his little sister. That's when I knew he hides a sweet Kai beneath that severe face. I had a crush on him, but I saw how much he loved his girlfriend, so I gave up. Besides... we're way too out of each others league.
I'm walking towards the Ahava after the meeting with our House. I'll meet my first-year students tomorrow. I wonder what I'll teach them, though. I wonder what Sybil would teach too.
I felt the familiar sensation as I enter the place I call mine. Blue falls and clear waters, how refreshing.
I don't know what I should think. I have nothing to do; simultaneously, I feel like I have a lot to do too. I also feel like I have a lot on my mind, and I don't. It's so confusing that I just wanted to do nothing. I lay my body on the grasses and stared at the starry sky.
"Overthinking is so not you, my lady." I didn't bother to look at him. He's the only other person who knows this place; even my friends haven't been here.
I felt him right beside me, lying down too. I thought he would utter ridiculous questions again, but he didn't.
There was utter silence between us the whole time. Sybil being beside me without talking somehow made me feel at ease. He didn't speak, but his presence itself helped me.
"So, what do you plan to teach your freshmen?" I started. I looked straight at his starry blue eyes.
"Mmm, I don't know. Maybe, some life lessons." I chuckled at his confused face as he kept scratching his nape.
I didn't know what happened or why I said it, but I said, "I'll help you." I saw his surprised expression but then smirked afterward.
"Ohhh, I heard the great Lille Rune doesn't help anyone," he teasingly exclaimed.
"Where did you hear that?!" I blurted out.
"Everybody says that," he stated as if it isn't a big deal.
I rolled my eyes at him. I couldn't even deny it; when I say they respected me is because of fear. I never helped anyone for the reason that I was scared.
I'm scared that they'll be afraid of me.
That they'll be afraid if they see what I can do.
