Hoshizora.
Umi.
Hanabi.
Yuuyake.
And Yama.
Those are the houses here at L.Q High. You are classified as soon as you step here.
I'm credible in the Hoshizora house. Every house has its meaning, somehow.
Each house has its building with blue walls but has various paintings.
I started junior high school here, and it's been four years since then—time sure flies. Now, I'm 19 years old.
"Hey, Lille! Recruit for Hoshizora!" Our Peace officer Jamie stated. Another school year, ugh!
"Where is she? And what grade on?" I asked. I'm the secretary, and yes, this is my responsibility. Whether she's in grade school, High school or college.
"It's a... he. And same grade." He said and wandered off. Good enough that he's a college student. I don't hate kids. It's just that I don't want to deal with them.
I readied myself and went to the Dean's office. It looks like I'll be finishing these papers later.
Typically new students get mentoring from higher grades and the same house. And, yeah, that's me.
I looked at the lounge that you'll see just about when you enter the Dean's office's floor. But no one there.
Where could he be?
I waited for about 10 minutes, and it got me a lacerate. Duh, my every minute is crucial. I searched for the new student from places he could have wandered off.
Where could that guy be?! I gave up after half an hour of searching when I heard something. It sounded like an instrument!
I followed where the sound was resounding, and that's when I realized it was a piano sound. I had heard piano recitals from my brothers before, but... these are different. It feels more smooth and more astonishing, and it gives me a lot more numerous emotions.
I can't quite understand what he was singing, but it was cunny enough for me to say he has an elegant voice. He's singing some Japanese song that's also quite familiar like I've heard it before.
"That was beautiful," I said unconsciously. The man sitting at the piano seemed surprised, but I thought he would quickly stand and go to me, but to my surprise, he smirked instead.
"You must be my mentor," he said and went to me. I don't mind appearances, but... the moment I met his gaze, I got mesmerized. Those blue, sparkling eyes are as if the ocean reflects the stars in it. It glitters like stars glitter in the night sky.
"Duh, if I wasn't, I shouldn't have looked everywhere to find you!" I wailed, over fantasizing how beautiful his eyes are.
"Ohh, it's a pleasure."
I exited the room first and...
"Since when did it rain?!" I exclaimed; I don't recall sensing rain before going here!
"It was a bit gloomy earlier." Like duh, as if I care about your remark.
What will I do? I was about to merge in the rain to get an umbrella but then...
"Where do you think you're going?!" he exclaimed, pulling me back.
"Getting an umbrella," I simply said.
I got curious when he took off his jacket and said...
"I wouldn't let a lady soak in the rain for me," he said thoughtfully. Gentlemen, ehh?
"Then, what are we supposed to---" before I could finish my sentence, he had already pulled me through the rain with his jacket covering us.
"Let's go!" he yelled; the rain was heavy, so I ran with him.
This is crazy! I'm getting drenched!
Since he didn't know the structure of the school, I was the one navigating him where to go.
Instead, in our field, we went to the cafeteria here. I took my handkerchief and wiped my face, skin, and hair. It looks like I'll be taking a shower in this cold weather.
I looked at the man I was with while running in the rain. He's wearing an average t-shirt but looking at his back right now, I could say that he has that well-built body.
"Hey!" I called. "We could stay here and eat something. Buy some umbrella too." I said. The moment he faced me, I noticed that's his much wetter than I was.
He nodded in response to what I said. We both picked the table in the near-end corner of the cafeteria. I ordered for the both of us and bought an umbrella.
When I returned, I saw him hang his jacket on the chair right next to where he was sitting. I slowly placed our food.
"Thanks," he said.
After a moment of silence, he talked.
"Hey, miss mentor. Where do I get to stay?"
"Dorms are available. Building L is for girls, and building Q is for boys." I explained.
"I assume you have your keycard with you?" he nodded at my question. "And I assume you know how to use it too?"
"Yes, miss mentor. Say, why are there houses? What does it mean?" I looked at him.
"Listen carefully. I won't repeat myself." I firmly said.
"The five houses Yama that means mountain, Hanabi that means fireworks, Umi means sea, Yuuyake means sunset and lastly our house... Hoshizora means starry sky," I explained, looking straight into his gaze—those starry blue eyes.
"Ranks, money, or status do not classify it, right?" I'm from a royal family, but not all of Hoshizora's population is a royal or comes from wealthy families.
"No, no. To tell you frankly, I've been long enough in this school, but I didn't know how they classify the students here." I honestly said. Well, I'm the only royal I know.
"Oh, okay then. I'll figure it out," The new student said and smirked.
"Any more questions?" I asked; since the rain is still pouring might as well answer his questions now.
He seems to be thinking when...
"M'lady, mentoring again?" I looked at the person who spoke.
"Brix, go bug me some other time!" I exclaimed. I don't need another headache right now.
"M'lady?" I looked at this guy again.
"That's how guys usually call the ladies here," I said; well, it's true.
"Ohh, so can I call you my lady?" I glared at him.
After our conversation, I stood up, and he went with me too. I took him to the boys' dormitory since it was probably around 6 p.m.
"Get some rest. I'll tour you tomorrow," I said.
"Wait, m'lady!" Oh? I looked back at him.
"I'm Sybil Selyvious Willows," He gestured into a handshake. I don't usually give my name, let alone handshakes, but I don't know...
I took his hand "Lille. Lille Rune."
