"Can I go out today? Just for today, I promise." A boy with a brown beanie asked with stars of hope sparkling in his eyes.

"As your doctor, I'm afraid to say that you're not allowed to go. It will be cold today, and you know, your health can't handle it." A deep voice coming from a middle-aged man in a white blouse stopped his intention as soon as he said it.

"Yes, I know. I know that my health cannot deal with it. I also know that today… is my last chance to deal with it." The boy started to bow his head.

"Don't say such things. You will be better. As your doctor, I-"

"But you're also my father. Dad, please, let me go for today, will you?"

Suddenly being cut his words, the doctor was too stunned to speak for a moment. Then he looked at his patient, also his dearest son, and he couldn't help a sigh. It would be a risk for him to go out in this weather, but he knew that if it was not today, then it would be never.

His son, his lovely dearest son, just had one more day to live.

"Jeongwoo, is it this much necessary? To go out in this temperature?" He asked, and couldn't hide the pain in his voice.

"It is. He has waited for me, waited for this day to be with me. I can't allow myself to disappoint him."

"How about me? I'm your father. I'm the one who loves you the most in this world." The doctor started to lose his patience, stood up, and angrily asked the boy.

"You're a doctor, and you already know what will come. You've had time to prepare for it. But he doesn't. He doesn't know. I know you will get hurt, but he will be hurt ten times more. His love for me isn't less than yours."

"You-"

"Dad, please…"

For the first time in his life, the old doctor cried. Looking at his son who still bowed his head, he could see tears dropping on the back of his hands. It had been years since he last saw his child cry in front of him. His head told him not to let him go, but his heart could not be able to see his little boy like this.

As a doctor, he had to say he did not allow it. But as a father, he wanted his son to have happiness.

"Remember to keep yourself warm."

That was it. The heart of a father would always win the head of a doctor.

"Thanks, dad. I will come back, I promise."

"Don't promise something you can't do. It's better not to promise than to break it."

"I will keep it. My promise."

Jeongwoo’s eyes glued on the boy standing in front of him. He could not tell how much he missed this guy. The way he smiled, the way his eyes seemed to contain a whole starry night in it, Jeongwoo could not count how many times he had wished to see all those things of his love.

“Baby, what’s that on your face?” Jeongwoo asked while his gaze was still on his love’s face.

“Beauty.” The boy raised his browns answering Jeongwoo.

“Mr. Kim Junkyu, here are your tickets. You can go this way to your A3 cinema room.”

Junkyu and Jeongwoo tried to control their laughter as they saw the staff was being disgusted at their cringy couple things.

They chose a couple-seat on the top of the cinema room so that they could lie down while watching the movie. After entering the big room Junkyu noticed that Jeongwoo was cold enough to shrivel up and start to quiver.
