"Sometimes I feel so unfair for you, Woo."
"What do you mean?"
Jeongwoo was refilling everything to prepare for a new good day at his coffee shop when Jaehyuk suddenly said out of nowhere.
"Since you and Junkyu hyung got to be in a relationship, I just see your hard-trying for this love. I don't see any effort that hyung put in."
Jaehyuk's words made Jeongwoo stop for a while. He smiled, hiding a sigh, and replied to the older.
"You're-"
"Don't tell that I'm an outsider so I don't know anything. My Sahi and even Hyunsuk and Jihoon notice it too." Jaehyuk cut off Jeongwoo's speech.
"Is that "my Sahi" phrase necessary? And they're also outsiders."
Jeongwoo smiled calmly at the older's worry. He knew they cared about him and worried for him, but it's his love, he knew how the situation was and how to solve it.
He wanted to show his love to Junkyu, the one he loved the most. And he would never regret doing it. He just wanted to make his lover happy at all costs. Even though he had to pay with his life, it's all worth it once he could make the other satisfied.
"He loves me. I trust him."
Yes, he trusted him. No matter what did and would happen, he would always trust him. He could feel the love in his heart. Those warm hugs, those passionate kisses, those perfectly-fitted holding hands, they gave him the feeling of love that he never dared to imagine he could have in his life.
He chose to trust his lover, he chose to trust his heart. He bet everything on this love. In this game, he's willing to play.
"Alright. If you insist. But if anything ever happens, remember me and other hyung are always here for you, okay?"
"Nothing will happen, you dummy." Jeongwoo let out laughter.
"Just in case."
-
"Jeongwoo ya!!" A cute sweet voice could be heard at the end of the path in front of the coffee shop.
"Why are you here? It's late at night now. Why don't you stay at home?" Jeongwoo was surprised when he turned around and saw Junkyu was the one who called him.
They both run toward each other with their arms spreading wide. Jeongwoo took a big inhale to let his lover's scent fill his air.
"I miss you." Junkyu said. He tightened his arms around Jeongwoo's waist to pull him closer to his hug.
"I miss you too." Jeongwoo said softly with a smile on his lips. Then he dropped a kiss on the other's forehead.
"Have you had dinner? Are you hungry?"
"I haven't. It was crowded today so we were kinda busy. We didn't have time to eat."
"Ah it's Friday. No wonder why it was crowded. Okay, let's go find something for you to eat." Junkyu broke their hug and grabbed his right hand leading him to leave. "What do you wanna eat?"
"You."
Junkyu choked.
"We will have tteokbokki for you. Let's go." He tried to hide his blushing face and also his shyness. But he failed.
-
"Why haven't you slept?"
Junkyu was startled by the sudden voice. He thought the guy lying beside him was already asleep.
"Uhmmm... Just thinking something." He mumbled.
"About what?"
"Nothing special. Just some random this and that."
"About how to kill me, right?"
Silence wrapped them for a while. In the dark night, there were just two breaths to be here. One heavily, and one peacefully.
"How would you know?" Torment could be heard in his voice.
"I accidentally saw the notification of your new message on your lock screen." Not like Junkyu's, this voice sounded so peaceful and calm. And soft. Full of love.
"How long?"
"A while. Maybe a year now."
"And you still chose to be in a relationship with me? Are you dumb? Crazy? Or you find this life is so boring?" Junkyu angrily asked.
"Because I love you, Junkyu."
They were lying opposite each other but because of the dark, they couldn't see each other's faces. Junkyu lifted his right arm, tried to figure out where Jeongwoo's face was. Once he touched the other's face, he stopped for a moment, took a deep inhale and fully felt the emotions from the palm of his hand to his heart.
"Don't cry, Kyu. I don't wanna see your tears. You always feel happy with me, right?"
"I do." He closed his eyes when the other's hand softly wiped away the tears rolling down on his face.
Jeongwoo lifted his head and moved it forward to Junkyu's face. His lips found Junkyu's, and they kissed. A gentle but sad kiss. A soft but painful kiss. A kiss with the bitter taste of tears.
"Today is the day?"
"Yes!" Junkyu suddenly rolled over and got on top of Jeongwoo. He put his hand under his pillow and pulled out a gun. "Today is the day of your death."
In the dark, his eyes flashed coldly, stared at the guy under him. His voice also become deeper, no longer cute as usual.
"This expression doesn't suit you. You're prettier when you smile." Jeongwoo lifted his hand and touched Junkyu's face, said with a tender voice.
"Shut up!" Junkyu pushed away the hand touching his face, brought the cold muzzle of the gun to the center of the lying guy's forehead.
"But I still love you."
"I told you to shut up!" He could hear his voice was shaking so damn much.
"Do you ever love me?"
"I did not, do not, and will not love you, this bastard!" His voice was now choked with emotions.
"Don't cry. Junkyu, look at me, don't cry."
Jeongwoo's hand once again touched Junkyu's face and lifted it up. His thumb gently wiped away the tears running down on his face. He didn't care about the gun on his head, all he could see now was the sadness on his loved one's face. It hurt him to see Junkyu like this.
"Promise me, you will be happy from now on."
"Shut the fuck up, you bastard!" He sobbed violently that his voice couldn't be heard clearly anymore.
"I trust you."
Jeongwoo moved his hand from Junkyu's face to his hand which holding the gun's trigger.
"Whatever did, is, and will happen, I always trust you."
"I trust that you love me."
"And I love you too."
He put his thumb to where the trigger was and moved it to where his heart was beating.
"Whatever happens, I always love you, Kyu."
"No!" Junkyu shouted in panic.
"Do you ever love me?" He smiled and asked.
"Yes, yes. Jeongwoo, I love you. Let go of my hand, please, Jeongwoo..."
"Promise me to be happy."
"No, I don't want to. If you're with me, I will be happy. Jeongwoo, let go of my hand..." Junkyu said with sobbed voice while trying to pull his hand and the gun away from Jeongwoo's.
"I love you, Kim Junkyu, the killer."
On that night, the sky seemed darker. There was someone cried painfully next to someone with a blood-red color spreading on his chest.
