A/N
I am hoping that you have read Shadows already, and if you haven't, GO READ IT NOW! This is the second part of my two-part story that I am very happy to be able to share with you. I'm sorry for the long wait, but I wanted y'all to be able to read it all at once and not have to wait the insanely long time it takes me to write a chapter. I will be putting some hard to find, but fun references in here so if you find them, shout them out in the comments! And I encourage constructive commentary, so please tell me what you think! Again, thank you all for reading, and enjoy Reflections!

P.S This is VERY important! I messed up so I'm having to change a few things. Kyreen and Christian are not siblings anymore. I had to rewrite that because my stupid brain forgot that detail and now I might have to face the consequences.
Ash sat on a plush bed and stared at the wall. This was the first time he had been in that bedroom in over three years, and he didn't know what to think of it. He gave up everything to come back and be with his sister, and Ash didn't even get to see her that much. Everything was training these days. Caroline's face showed up in his dreams every now and then. Just seeing her face when she realized he was betraying everything she believed in. Ash could hardly remember the good memories of her.
A knock brought him from his thoughts.
"A.J? You, okay? 'Cause I was wondering if you wanted to go out today? There is this new café down the street I've been dying to try," Thalia asked. Ash hadn't realized she had been talking to him. Thalia was the only one who had ever called him by his middle name too, Ash Jovian Vacker.
Ash buried his head in his hands "Why did we do this?"
"Because we need to solve the problem one way or another and this was the best way. We are doing this for the Lost Cities." Thalia sat on the bed next to him. "Fresh air will help."
Ash shook his head. He didn't want to see the Lost Cities again.
"It's her, isn't it?" Thalia said.
"She doesn't deserve this."
Thalia crossed her arms and stared. "Wait, which girl is it? I quit trying to intervene in your love life ages ago."
Ash didn't answer.
"It's that Foster girl, isn't it?" Thalia said into the air. "You know what we think of the Fosters."
Ash ignored her and kept looking at the ceiling.
"Never mind, sometimes it's like I'm talking to a brick wall," Thalia groaned. She stormed out of the room.
This brought Ash out of his dream. Thalia never left like that. He didn't know why, but Thalia was doing something other than asking for fresh air.
Thalia couldn't believe that Ash felt the way he did. His time away had made him too soft. They were supposed to be the most powerful duo in the Elvin world. Thalia needed his spy-craft, and he needed her muscle. They were the perfect pair since birth, and some foster girl had to ruin it.
Thalia turned a corner and stomped into her room, where a man with dark hair sat on her bed.
"Its good to see you again." He told her.
"What is it Wolf?" Thalia was still scared by the man. His shadow seemed to always be going a different direction than him and everything about him seemed shrouded in darkness. She remembered the first time she had seen him—her scream could probably be heard for miles around.
"I've noticed your twin is acting more resistant to our cause. Any reason why?" Wolf asked as if he read her mind.
"The Foster girl is getting to him; I think her name is Caroline." Thalia replied.
"Ahh, the Fosters, always trying to bring the world out of darkness." He sighed. "I need you to keep a close watch on your brother. We don't want him looking for things he shouldn't be looking for."
"Will do," said Thalia.
"Good. I think that ends our brief conversation." Wolf stood up and stalked towards the door.
Thalia watched him turn the doorknob but something inside her snapped. She stopped the door from opening. "Wait." She paused. "Just out of curiosity, what did you do to Foster and her friends."
"I put them somewhere they will not be able come back from."
