My heart fluttered as I was staring right back at my best friend. He was my soulmate and we both knew it from literally days of knowing each other.

"I know we've already discussed marriage and the fact that we know it's right in our hearts," he spoke, "I just wanted to let you know that I have dreamed for a woman like you to walk into my life, to make this huge house a home. To be there for me when I'm down, or the other way around."

Tears began to well up in front of my eyes. These were happy tears.

"You match my love and enthusiasm for getting things going each day and you're a hard worker, and that makes me a better business man in my own right."

I was smiling at each word and wouldn't mind if he kept talking forever.

"I was going to wait until after the Gala, maybe surrounded by just family and friends," he spoke softly this time as if hesitant to not ruin what surprise he had planned, "but I want to be your husband. I want to be whatever it is you want me to be for the rest of your life, and I cannot wait any longer to be engaged to you."

He pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him and I practically screamed "yes!" as he put the ring on my finger. Then he picked me up and swung me around then sat me down on his mixing board.

"Well, soon to be Mrs Harrison," he said "what did you have in mind for this evening?"

"The only thing I want now is to make love to you," I responded, knowing he would not complain.

He placed me delicately onto the couch that was in the studio and we began to undress each other, the passion between us exploded into the best love making we've experienced together.

It left my heart full and happy and I knew whatever tomorrow brought, I would be okay.

.....

The morning of the Gala was uneventful, I made breakfast for George and I, then it was a quick drive to John and Cynthia's to pick them up before riding into the city. We both kept our little secret for the time being.

They were all excited for me since today was my big day. My fiancé too had a big job for the evening so Cynthia and I parted ways with the men as they went to the recording studio to practice before needing a police escort to the Gala. All of London was aware they'd be at the celebration tonight as musical guests and all of their fans wanted to break down the gates and attend the show.

As a result, security was on high alert.

Cynthia acted as my personal assistant for the evening making sure I got into my dress and that my hair and makeup were done. I was so grateful for her and her support.

No one knew yet what I had named my clothing line. I even was keeping it a surprise for George. The launch was about to happen in mere hours and I was growing more and more excited. When the curtains drop on the billboards that already line the roads, my face and my fashion line will be known to everyone.

"So is it true that you are dating George Harrison?" Another model named Genevieve asked me as everyone started arriving and being introduced.

"We have been working together," I deflected the question, "they are all great aren't they?"

"That's the only reason I came, I couldn't miss the opportunity to see the Beatles performing," she said excitedly. Then she remembered that I was the honored guest and bit her tongue.

"It's okay," I said kindly, "I hope I can show you my own talents tonight but if you aren't impressed then I am glad you get a free Beatles show just for being pretty."

Cynthia and I walked away and she began laughing at what I had said. She was quickly becoming my best friend and I don't know how I'd make it in this new world without her guidance.

"Cyn," I said to her unable to contain my excitement, "I actually have something I want to tell you. George may have already told John."

We were then interrupted by more guests and important people that we needed to talk to and so I had to wait a little longer to tell her my happy news.

The room began to fill to where I had believed all the guests to have already arrived but then my eyes darted to the rear of the huge room where some familiar faces walked in.

George was leading the pack with a disguise on, but I knew it was him. His trench coat and wearing sunglasses indoors gave it away. And behind him were my parents and Jenna. They were walking in and looking around in amazement.

Cynthia saw me staring and tapped me on the shoulder, "is that George?" She asked.

"I'll be right back," I said to her and handed her my drink.

I silently walked toward them, unable to understand how they could have been here. When I reached them they looked more proud than I've ever seen them. At first, I passed up my parents briefly to hug Jenna. She was back here somehow and I knew she didn't take a ship across the Atlantic.

"I want to hug you and never let you go ever again," I said to her.

George grabbed my hand and held it tightly. I knew he had to have been a part of this. I just didn't understand how he all of a sudden knew my parents.

Then I had to face them. I hadn't spoken to them in months or seen them since late last year. I have been afraid of allowing myself to get close with them again after their disappointment when I left to pursue fashion.

"We feel honored to be a part of this night, it's been hard keeping this a surprise," my mom said sweetly. She has always had a heart of gold and that's what made this so hard. I was happy they both were here but I still was in shock.

I hugged them both next and then my dad spoke.

"George here has made it clear that there's so much we don't know or see when it comes to your work ethic and drive to accomplish your goals. We had no idea all this was happening and were honored to be here to share this special night with you."

"Mom.. Dad," I said "I really don't want to cry tonight, there's been a lot of tears shed in the last few weeks but I am glad you are all here and that you are safe."

"We want to apologize for not seeing that you would do great things with your passion for modeling and designing," my mom said, "we are also sorry for the loss of your friend Darry."

"Truly, Laur..." my dad added, "I don't know if I can ever make it up to George here for doing all of this and giving us a chance to come and make it up to you."

My heart fluttered. George had planned this, he called them and spoke with them and probably paid to fly them out. What had they thought when a famous musician phoned them to tell them he loved their daughter?

"I'm so happy to be here to celebrate your accomplishments," Jenna then cut in, "but I'll let you guys have your moment here and we can talk in a bit.... is that Cynthia Lennon?"

With that, Jenna's attention flew elsewhere and she went to go introduce herself to my other best friend and left George and I with my parents.

"We have a lot to catch up on," my mom said "I want to hear all about how you guys met."

My mom looked at how protective George was of me and looked happy for us. My dad on the other hand looked like he was a little concerned which I didn't blame him. His daughter was on the other side of the globe and engaged to be married to a famous man she met a month ago.

"May I have your attention please," a voice came on over the intercom and interrupted our conversation, "will everyone please take your seats, we will be starting the presentation shortly."

"I have to go babe. We have to warm up and head to the backstage area. We are singing when the fashion show starts," then he turned to my parents, "I hope you enjoy the show. I will have a chance to sit down with you in a proper manner toward the end of the evening."

I was not in the fashion show but I would be up at the stage explaining each piece as it walks down the runway so I needed to get toward the stage as well.

Everyone in the room settled in and I walked my parents to my table, where there had been extra room beside Cynthia, Jane and Maureen. Jenna was able to sit there as well and everything was perfect.

The host for the night was Mr. Irwin Parker himself, who seemed like the perfect fit. He was very happy to introduce me and get the show started. He also told the crowd how pleased he was to be able to introduce the Beatles and the whole room went crazy.

The came out on stage as the curtain rose and started to sing "she loves you," in order to start the crowd up and everyone was singing along as models walked out and down the runway in my designs.

All my nerves for what I'd need to do next went away and I was announcing each style and having the time of my life. George was on a stage playing his guitar and doing back up vocals and I kept stealing glances over at him.

When the fashion show portion of the evening was over they had sung about 4 songs at that point softly in the background. Now I was able to let them play just on their own and all of the men seemed honored to be there with me.

"Give it up for Miss Lauren Woods!" John exclaimed and the crowd went crazy, mostly due to the fact everyone went crazy over them no matter what they yelled into their microphones and it was mesmerizing.

"We want to play this next song in honor of Darrell Davis," Paul then said and George counted them down and then they started the song called "here, there, everywhere."

Everyone sort of swayed to the music. They played a few more songs and then Irwin called me up on stage once more.

"I am honored to now unveil Miss Woods' new clothing line, Lauren do the honors"

I went and pulled a rope that dropped two curtains down and unveiled the billboard that was in the room.

"Out of the Woods," it said plastered above my face. That was the name I had chose, which meant the difficulty was behind me, I was free.

It was one of the photos Irwin took of me and it was amazing to see it here and now. I thought back briefly to how Darry had called me beautiful when he saw it and I knew he always believed in me. I would give anything to have him here supporting me. I then thought about Brian. The men of the Beatles were all extremely lucky to have his support and guidance in their career, maybe I could finally ask him to be my manager. I would need to ask George his thoughts.

The whole crowd erupted in applause.

Then as confetti and balloons fell  on the stage George came and ran up to me and picked me up and swung me around, not caring about the press and bystanders that we already waiting to go crazy with the news of us being a couple.
