I feel so so happy here! I've gotten to know so many people, and I feel blessed. I'm no longer a puppet on strings, I have my own life now. It feels so good to be able to run freely, to laugh, and talk and make friends. But what was about to come in the following weeks, would soon change my whole life forever. I'm sitting on my beanbag, in my room. Happy thoughts, the sheep, and rainclouds, the cow, are sitting with me in my room. Yes, I know. Weird names, but, they have a lot of symbolism and meaning. Monika always used to say that poetry need to have some sort of symbolism, or hidden meaning, or the audience won't get much out of it. It's so everyone can relate, even if the author and reader are nothing alike! A knock on my door disturbs my thoughts. "Come in!" The door opens suddenly, and Tommy and Wilbur barge through my living room, and straight to my bedroom. "Sayori, we've got something to tell you!" My instincts immediately assess the situation. To my relief, it's nothing bad. Tommy looks content, and Wilbur looks like he needs my help. "Sure, what is it?"
"Well, you know how I kinda just made myself president of L'manburg?" Wilbur says. "Yeaaahh..." I reply, not quiet getting the meaning of the conversation. "Well, me and Tommy decided to host an election." Oh. "Who's in it?" I ask. "Well, we actually thought that, to ensure my succession, we're not going to tell anyone about the actual election, make it completely random, and when the voting time comes, they can only vote for us, well me." Wilbur explains. "Will you join our political party?" I look around. What is there to lose? "Sure!" I chirp. This will give me something to do. Wilbur looks relieved and Tommy looks happy. "Can you please get some more people to join our party? We need all the help we can get." Wow! Their entrusting me with such a great responsibility. "I'll do it!" I'm determined to do my very best. What could possibly go wrong?
~Time Skip~
"An election?"
"Yeah, an election where only Wilbur will be running for president."
"And what do you want me to do?"
"To join the political party."
"How will that help if Wilbur's the only candidate?"
"Trust me, it will."
"I highly doubt it. I just think he needs to look all noble and caring, but all he really wants is that title and more power."
"You're wrong! He's never abused his power before!"
"That's because he's never had any."
So far I've succeeded in getting Niki to join, but, Quackity's proving difficult. No one else even is coming out of their houses today, and the election is in 2 days! We only have today, and a last minute scramble of tomorrow, if we have any time left. "Is there a problem?" It's Wilbur. I hadn't heard him arrive. Quackity looks surprised, then quickly covers it up. "Are you seriously trying to make an election where the only person to vote is you?" Before Wilbur can open his mouth, Quackity continues, "Isn't that a bit selfish? You just want the power." "No, Quackity, it isn't about the power. I am technically president." "Oh, so you just want to prove to other people that your better than them, is that it?" "No, Quackity-" Wilbur starts but is quickly cut of by Quackity, "You know what? You think your so amazing, just because you founded L'manburg, but you know what? I'm making my own political party, and I'm going to challenge you in the election!" Me and Wilbur are speechless. It had never intended to go this way. Quackity storms of. Wilbur turns to me, "It's ok, Sayori, I don't blame you. You tried to convince him, and, at the end of the day, Quackity is his own man. We just have to beat him, and I know we will." His words may sound reassuring, but as Wilbur shoots me one final look, it feels as though he hasn't forgiven me. Not at all.
