Sayori POV
It's finally the night before the day of the festival. The atmosphere outside my prison is happy, teeming with L'manburgians happily chatting and celebrating. If only they knew what was actually going on. This is the final night. I know that Schlatt is planning something sinister, I had overheard only snippets of his conversations with Quackity, but I've already heard more than enough. Now is the time to act. I get up from my bed, checking to see if anyone is around. Good. I grab a chair and put it on the floor, grabbing a piece of rope that I had stashed when I got caught. A sense of deja vu flashes through me as I remember my final moments back in my old life. It had ended just like this. But not this time. I refuse to go back to how it used to be. I'm different now.
I stand up on the chair, my hands just skimming over the roof as I hunt for my goal. There. My hands brush past a slightly dislodged roof tile. I jump up on the chair slightly, pushing the tile up and into the vents. Ok. I can do this. The fate of everyone I know depends on it. I grab the rope, hurling it into the vent, until it catches on a little hook. Suddenly, I hear the deafening sound of Schlatt's footsteps getting closer and closer to my room. I freeze, not sure if I should move or breathe. I wave of fear and adrenaline rush through me, and I jump...
Grabbing onto the rope, I haul myself up, inch by inch, until I'm safely into the vent. Looks like Techno's training really paid off! I quickly collect the rest of the rope, and seal the dislodged tile back where it belongs. Bang!! I wince, hearing the echo. The door to my room opens. I stop breathing, paralyzed with fear as I hear Schlatt's angry voice and footsteps. Peering through the crack, I see his furious face as he yells at poor Tubbo. Wait... that isn't' Tubbo! Quackity stands in the door, his face defiant and mad.
"I'm sick and tired of you acting like you're in charge around here! All you do is drink and make yourself fucking drunk all the time and you treat me like a piece of shit!"
I'm quite shocked. I knew Schlatt was never Quackity's favourite person, but to go that far....
"Well I am the king!" Schlatt yells back, "And you can't do Shit about it! Go on then, go back to those cowards. See if they want you! Come tomorrow, they won't even exist anymore! And neither will you!" His eyes trace the room. "Come out, Sayori. I know you're here somewhere." Quackity's face remains angry, but his faint smile betrays him.
"She's gone. Don't you know? You know Schlatt, for a guy who talks big, you sure don't know how to keep your prisoners!" He laughs, walking away, "I'm sick and tired of you. You've changed, Schlatt." His eyes darken with pain and fear, "And I don't like it." With that, he walks off, leaving Schlatt the only one left in the room.
"Fuck, fuck, FUCK!" For a moment, I feel bad for him. Then I remember all the cruel things he has done. He doesn't deserve my sympathy! His eyes trail to the ceiling, as if he has x-ray vision and can see me. Maybe he can. Who knows? "You're going to regret messing with me, " he snarls. Who he's talking to, I have no clue. But I still feel a shiver down my spine at his ominous words.
~Time Skip~
An hour has passed since I escaped the white house. I bumped into Quackity as I jumped out a window, my heart pounded as I feared the worst, but all he did was just shrug. "I don't even care anymore," he muttered as he kinda shuffled away akwardly. Wierd. The night was about to end, and I had to find what I was looking for before the festival started. Panting and out of breath, I faced a massive castle. At this point, I think running will kill me. As I try to recover my breath, I take a few tentative steps toward the front gate of the castle. This reunion would be a sore one, filled with regrets and hate. I steady myself as I knock on the door. The knocks resound loudly. The gate is opened, and I hear a familar voice,
"Yes, who is it?"
He hasn't changed one bit. Eret still wears his dark sunglasses, his voice is still relatively deep (though definitly not as deep as Techno's), but his face is different. It looks sad and lonely. "Uhh.. hello Eret!" I try to sound cheerful, but my voice cracks. He sighs."Hello Sayori. Come on in, I guess." He leads me through the majestic hallways of his castle. It is really pretty, the walls are adorned with precious jewels and the areas are all spotless. A bucket and some cleaning supplies lie in a corner, as if Eret had been recently cleaning.
"I spend a lot of my time cleaning this place,," he confesses, seeing my gaze. "What?" he notices my expression of amusement, "I've got nothing better to do."
I burst out laughing, clutching my sides and howling while he stares at me with shock. He looks away; ashamed.
"Oh Eret! Don't look so sad! I'm just teasing!" I cry, feeling a bit guilty for his forlorn expression. Eret's face slowly breaks into a small smile, and he chuckles softly.
"You got me there," he admits, shaking his head. "But really, I don't mind the cleaning. It's therapeutic in a way."
I nod in agreement, impressed by his dedication to keeping the place tidy. I could never! I still remember the days when MC used to clean up my room whenever he came over. I chuckly to myself, remembering how lazy I used to be, and how much I depended on MC's help. How things have changed! Eret leads me to another small room, which is still massive. I could fit my whole house in that smaller room. He pulls a chair, beckoning me to sit down.
"So, what do you want?" he asks, "I assume you came here for a reason, right?" I nod my head slowly, making sure I don't offend him in any way."I'm actually looking for advice and some help," I say hesitantly. Eret leans back in his chair, studying me for a moment before nodding. "Alright, what kind of advice and help do you need?" he asks. I take a deep breath, ready to explain my situation.

..."And that's how I escaped from the white house," I conclude. "Look, Eret, I know things are wierd between us, but I need your help! L'manburg needs you! Please don't turn away from us again."
I plead. Eret's expression softens as he listens to my story.
"I understand," he says, "but I'm not too sure. I do feel really bad for what I did, but I don't know if this will fix it."
"It doesn't need to be fixed!" I cry, "Can't you see, Eret? If you hadn't betrayed us then you wouldn't have had such great power! You can save L'manburg and atone for what you've done!" His expression is thoughtful as he ponders the choices.
"I'll think about it," he finally says, "but I need some time to consider everything." I nod, grateful for his willingness to even consider helping us.
"Take all the time you need," I say, "but please know that L'manburg is counting on you."
"All right."
