Liz

School ended two weeks ago. Most people would be happy that we get a break from school but not for me. It my was my last day of my 2nd year and I didn't even spend that much time with my friends. I don't think I'm going back to school for my 3rd and 4th year.

Discontinuing my studies altogether was the decision I was going for, however my parents weren't too keen on the idea. Instead they're, homeschooling me for a few months until I've got my life figured out.

I won't lie, I miss her, like a lot. But forgiving her is nearly impossible. She betrayed me.

"Liz?"

My heart sank. Her voice was so recognisable to me. The way she said my name, the name she started calling me, it made me break even more.

"Oh.. hi.." I bit my lip out of nervousness. Out of all the places she could be at, she has to be at this café.

She smiled innocently, not ashamed to look me in the eyes. Is this girl crazy? "It's been a while. I see you're back in Seoul"

"Uh yeah.. Just for the Holidays, I'm going back to Jeju island after New years" A pit in my stomach grew the longer she was near me. My eyes became blurry and not long after tears fell.

Rei's hand came closer to my cheeks, attempting to wipe my tears. "Liz are you okay?"

I scoffed while using my sleeve to pat my tears dry. She froze as soon as she heard it. "I'm so pathetic aren't I? I'm crying because of you all over again. When will you let me move on? You keep coming back"

"Come back to me" Those words, those were my words.

My eyes locked with hers and I tried my best not to look away. "You say that so casually, like I didn't say that to you over and over again"

"And you think I would remember it if you weren't special to me? It hurt me every time you said that but I thought I wasn't good for you, I thought I was protecting you. I saw how I hurt you the first time, I wasn't going to risk it the second time" She spoke with tears threatening to fall. I never knew her side of the story, I didn't want to know, nor did she want to tell me.

"I have to go" I walked out of the café, bawling my eyes out. As soon as she was out of my site, my body felt relieved and my emotions began to calm down.

I took my phone out and called a familiar number.

"Hello Jiwon!"

"Hi unnie, can we meet somewhere else?"

"Oh.. Why? Is the café closed or something?"

"No.. it's just.. Rei was there"

"*sigh* Okay I understand. How about we meet at the mall?"

"Sure"

"Okiee bye bye"

"Bye"
