Sitting here suffering
In a room of family
Answering with just a yes or no
No one cares
No one gives two shits
No one wants to talk
People speaking over me
The insufferable guilt of being here
Why did I come to feel so alone?
Pain within my head
Sores from biting my tongue
Scratches on my skin to deflect comments
Desensitized when another name is called
Offensive jokes that rolls of my shoulder
Burdened by my own perspective
Wishing I can defend myself
Afraid of the backlash
Please leave me alone
