Cookies

Not fully sure if it snows in Piltover but whatever, anyways merry christmas!!!!! here's my little gift to you

Different pov than usual + takes place in a diff year than og fic

A light blanket of snow covered piltover seemingly overnight, the snow almost blinding as the sun shined. Wherever you looked, there would be someone shoveling snow out of their way. Shops looked extra cozy with their warm lighting and compact exterior, it definitely boosted their customers. The snow, wherever it seeped through, somehow made the Undercity look dull even with their brightly lit markets.

If you looked mainly at Piltover you'd see symmetry with each Christmas tree, decoration, and treat. Lights and decorations were strung up by workers as Piltover made itself ready for christmas. Toy shops were filled with wealthy parents searching for the perfect toy for their children, most of the time those parents barely talk to their child, so does it really matter?

The cafe's availability shortened due to the holidays so you had some extra time. Viktor was given a week off, so you decided to use that to your advantage. " Pleaseee??? I know my house isn't that big but would it be nice if you stayed with me?" Viktor exhaled through his nose "Your house isn't the problem, I just have to work on my latest project." You frowned at his reply " You'll have plenty of time to work on it after break! Just bring some of your papers here if you'd like, I don't mind!"

Viktor's stubbornness wasn't going to stop you from trying, you could see him pacing through his mind for an answer. He clenched his jaw thinking of all the possibilities of staying " Ok.." You pulled him into a hug. You didn't mind your layered clothing making it uncomfortable, hugging him was all that mattered. You showered him with kisses, you could see his eyes light up and go wide.

Even after being with him, for 2 years now! Pecks at his skin still managed to make him flustered. You made your way out of his house, the warmth it gave you soon faded away as you started walking out. The streets were busy and loud as usual. Bells, people singing carols, and kids laughing weren't as calming as they should have been, at least the sound of crunching snow under your feet pleased you.

The café was made warmer as you brought a loaf of bread out of the oven, the aroma could attract anything at that moment but luckily no windows were open. You swept the floor as you waited for the bread to cool, Viktor was coming soon and that gave you motivation to actually clean up. You hum a melody you heard while walking home, it wasn't as cheery or exciting as most christmas songs tend to be but it was refreshing after hearing all that noise.

You left the bread to sit there and look pretty, flexing your baking skills was nice sometimes. Picking up trash from your room you wondered how your room smelled like. Last time Viktor came over he didn't complain about the smell, but that was when you reached your peak when it came to motivation. Which led to your room looking clean. You reminisced on the "old" days while looking out the window, watching people decorate their house even more with meaningless items.

You weren't big on celebrating christmas, while the food and gifts were nice it never really made an affect on you. Some lights outside the cafe were all you did, barely matching piltover's holiday cheer. You had to get customers somehow of course. It had been a few days since you first requested Viktor to stay and it was almost christmas, I mean he did say he was going to come tomorrow but whatever.

You didn't feel like going out today, but if you're worried about the smell of your room why not go and get a scented candle? You had a few hexes in your pocket, candles can't be that overpriced right? Tossing a coat and scarf on would be fine for now, you added a few more hexes to your pocket just in case and headed out. You've walked this path for years now and yet it always feels different with each passing.

A worn down store in Zaun is where your legs seemingly took you while you were looking around at each new thing. The poorly painted area stuck out like a sore thumb from the eerie environment. The lighting was warm and inviting making it impossible for you to not ignore. Not sure they sold candles but it's worth a shot. A bell rang as you entered, similar to your own cafe. You were greeted with a younger looking cashier than you remembered, I mean you haven't visited this place since you were a kid so things have had to change.

" Got any candles? " You asked, it seemed more like a rhetorical question than an actual one. While observing the area the cashier answered, " Uh yeah, in the back."
" Cool thanks." You replied, sounding uninterested while looking through each aisle. Your mouth was agape as you viewed the array of candles, it smelled nice. You chose a transparent green one and left after paying.

It made your room smell like mint, which was nice. It probably managed to cover whatever stench your room made that you had grown used to.

Christmas eve, how wonderful. Viktor was coming soon and you resorted to baking cookies, a classic. As the timer you set for your cookies went off you heard a knock at your door. Viktor! You rushed to take your cookies out as Viktor waited by the door. After almost burning your hands you opened the door for Viktor. He was wearing a dark brown heavy coat with a fur collar, quite fancy, a large dark blue scarf which covered his nose, gray pants that barely looked baggy, and black worn down boots. He was holding a suitcase presumably with his papers and clothes? The tips of his ears and cheeks were red, jeez you really need to get him ear muffs.

" Hey Vik, glad you made it!" You said pulling his scarf down to reveal more of his face, you kissed Viktor's cheek and went back to your kitchen " Ah.. no problem." He replied while unraveling his scarf with his free hand. " Feel free to make yourself at home, I just finished baking some cookies." You made room for his suitcase on a nearby table and started putting cookies on a plate. As you were placing some leftovers you had reheated on the table Viktor hugged you behind, his arms wrapped around your waist. He placed a kiss on your temple " I missed you." He said mumbling into your shoulder

" I did too, I'm glad you're here." You said resting your head on his. " After dinner do you want to cuddle and eat cookies on the couch or my bed?" " Ehh... depends, how big is your bed?" " It's big enough for the both of us?" " Bed then" He grabbed his crutch which he left resting beside the table. Grabbing it he moved over to his seat.

You asked Viktor about the project he was working on that almost made him not relax with you, which was a laser hand. Then you talked about the shop you went to and how you almost forgot things changed. Then it led you two to talk about nostalgia and childhood memories. Viktor yawned which made you get up and start putting the plates utensils into the sink. " Come on and get changed into something comfortable, then meet me in my room." " Where is the bathroom?" " On the left " You replied walking to your room to change into your pjs. When you went over to your bed you saw Viktor without a shirt on and some shorts

" Couldn't find a good shirt?" You said smirking " I don't think any would fit your standards.." He replied, rolling his eyes playfully. He set his crutch near the bed and climbed in. You closed the gap between you and him placing a hand on his chest, he felt cold. You kissed him before snuggling closer into his neck wrapping your arms around his upper torso.

"Good night.." " Goodnight моя любовь.."

" Wait I forgot the cookies "

(I hope google translate didn't do me dirty)
