It was a long day for Liam. He had a horrible morning with his housemates after a terrible evening from the night prior, and his work didn't end up fixing his mood to any degree.

He was met with loud shouting and rambunctious behavior when slipping off his shoes, following a subtle closing of the front door.

Liam did his best to avoid confrontation from the other men in the home, but he immediately saw Louis, the eldest one, run up with a bright smile.

“You're home! Are you still upset with us since last night? I sure hope not.”

Liam sighed. “I am, and the rest of my day hasn't been that great either. So please, leave me alone until I let this rollover. I don't want to scream at any of you again.”

With a slight pout, Louis turned on his heel and walked off. This allowed Liam to enter the nearby kitchen to grab a drink and calm his nerves.

Meanwhile, Niall, the second youngest out of the group, was drawing in his art book. This was until Louis slumped down to his right on the sectional couch. Thankfully, It could seat everybody in the home, and Liam couldn't have asked for a better deal after the arduous task of finding a couch.

“Liam is still upset with us. Do you think you can talk to him to help him forget about the mess? You had no part of it, after all, and he likes you the most.”

Niall sighed, clenching his jaw as he closed his art book and set it on top of the table in front of him.

“Even if I am his favorite, and even if we sort of have a relationship going...” Niall bit his bottom lip, shaking his head away from certain thoughts that would always try to sneak inside. “It's not gonna be easy convincing him to stop being angry. He's a hard-working man with barriers and even though I bring his delicate out, I won't be confident enough to say that he'll end up happy.”

Louis shrugged, smiling at his friend. “I just want you to try. We all hate seeing him upset, especially when he provides for us all on his own accord, and we know you can fix his behavior and make him happy again. You're special to us, but you're more special to him, more than you will ever know. I promise you that.”

With a soft sigh and quick nod, Niall stood up and made his way towards Liam.

“If it's one of you who upset me last night, then-- oh, Niall. It's nice to see your face.”

Niall chuckled, a faint smile etched onto his rosy-cheeked face as he stepped up to Liam who had a glass of wine in his right hand.

“Heard your day at work wasn't so great today.” Niall trailed his fingers to Liam's sides from underneath his shirt.

Liam shivered a little from the cold touch, biting his bottom lip as he set his glass down.

“You've no idea how cold your fingers are. Don't know whether to like or hate it.”

Niall's smile blossomed as he moved his hands up to Liam's chest, pressing his waist to Liam's with each inch that he made up the strong torso.

“You have no work for the rest of the weekend, plus we haven't been able to do much together alone for the past couple of weeks...”

Liam's brow rose, a small smirk playing at his lips as he moved his hands to Niall's waist.

“So you wanted to lock our bedroom door and sweat a little, huh? Is that what you're asking of me tonight, love?”
