[179] Surprise Visit [RQ]

Prompt: Niall is dating one of the biggest singers in the world but nobody knows it besides their close friends and family. Liam will be on tour for a while, so Niall doesn't expect to see him until then.

Another night on the phone is what Niall finds himself doing during a chilly, Thursday evening. A bright smile never leaves his glowing face as he responds to his lover who was traveling the world and selling out arena after arena.

“Maybe we can eventually walk around my small town and show each other off, in a good way of course.” Niall wanted to come out with Liam one day, but he knew the consequences of doing so when dating somebody so famous and easily susceptible to hate.

He hears a short, soft sigh. “One day, I will tell the whole world that I'm dating the beautiful and young Niall Horan, the one boy who stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on him.”

Niall laughs softly and sits up in his bed. “Until then, sneaking around with you will remain fun and incredible. Slipping past random strangers and past the paparazzi gets me all riled up, even though I'm not even famous. I'd do it daily just to get the adrenaline rush that results in me being happy.” He earns a hearty, soulful laugh before an adorable yawn that causes him to yawn as well within a few seconds.

“I'll be more than glad to do such antics when I get back home but for now, you need to focus on school. I'll be home before you know it, I promise. Bye, my love, and sleep well.”

After Niall replies with a quick farewell before clicking his phone off and setting it down onto his bedside table while slipping under soft covers that hugged his nude body well. He missed holding onto Liam as they lied in bed naked without a single care in the world. He'd have to wait a couple more months, but that seemed like an eternity, and he wouldn't be able to handle being away from him for much longer.

He had to wake up the morning after though, doing so in a rapid since his alarm didn't do its job. With expertise, Niall made it out of the front door within fifteen minutes while shoving a bit of a breakfast sandwich into his mouth as he walked.

Niall walked the short distance to his school, meeting his best friend Louis in the midst of it as he had woken up late as well, almost like it was a coincidence.

“Up late talking to your handsome, popstar boyfriend,” Louis proclaimed with a snobby smirk running along his adorably cocky face that made Niall groan in complete annoyance.

“No, kinda. We talked until ten, then I couldn't stop thinking about how the two of us would finally be together again in a few months, but it's so far away at the same time.” Niall shudders in disbelief because its already been two months since Liam left.

Louis smacks his lips. “C'mon, time will fly by. You'll be seeing Liam soon enough and sneaking around like the two of you do. It's quite adorable if you ask me. I wish I could be in a relationship like that so nobody can judge them and me for loving each other.”

Niall sighs softly, the school in close distance. “That's why he proposed we stay in the shadows because he doesn't want pointless articles to make him out as the bad, gay popstar who's dating someone that's eighteen and still in high school. He's twenty one now, so it's a bit of an age gap that some people just can't handle or get a solid grip on. I wish it were different.” He shrugs and opens the gate to the school to slip through alongside Louis who had books in his arms.

Louis closes it behind him. “You two shouldn't worry about how the public thinks, to be honest. It's your life and you shouldn't base it on what other people think, to gain a satisfactory reputation in the public eye. Love is love, after all.”
