"Anyways, I wanna show you the most beautiful and heartbreaking proposal I know. So watch," kidnapper said.

ALEC: Magnus, don't.

Ragnor narrowed his eyes. He didn't like the sound of that.

MAGNUS: We can only fight them off for so long. The demons will keep coming back unless we seal the rift. It's the only way to keep you all safe.

"What?!" Maryse exclaimed.

"A lot of things happened since Clary found out about Shadowhunters," girl explained.

ALEC: Magnus, you can't! There's something I had to do, there's something I had to say.

"You want to propose, big bro?!" Izzy nearly jumped from excitement.

Alec blushed. "Oh, shut up, Izzy."

MAGNUS: I know. Needless to say, you forgot something back in New York.

[Magnus opens his fist to reveal the Lightwood family ring. With a swoop and a touch of his magic, Magnus creates a second ring next to it.]

Everybody in the room gasped. Well, except Max.

"It's happening," whispered Catarina to Ragnor.

MAGNUS: Alexander Gideon Lightwood, will you marry me?

Alec looked at Magnus with a happy confusion. "You really did that. Why?"

Magnus touched his hand and squeezed it. "Because you, Alexander, are an amazing person. You're caring, you love your family so much it's unbelievable, you're trying to be tough, but you're still cute, adorable and innocent and I wish I could get to know you better so I'll know more about you."

Alec blinked. Don't cry, he said internally. Don't you dare cry.

ALEC: Only if you'll marry me, too.

"Wow, it's mutual proposal!" Simon shouted.

"Okay, I'm beginning to see why you and Izzy end up together," said Jace.

[Magnus puts the ring on Alec's finger. Then Alec puts the other ring on Magnus' finger.]

ALEC: I love you.

MAGNUS: I love you too, Alexander.

By this time everybody has tears in their eyes. It's like watching the most romantic movie. Suddenly, Romeo & Juliet seems like a rubbish in comparison to this. (Okay, so I don't like Romeo & Juliet. So what? I much more prefer Pride & Prejudice.)

[Just as they're about to kiss, there's another explosion that lights up the city.

"Oh, come on! Really?" Simon is irritated.

"Yeah, I wanted them to kiss!" Izzy was even more annoyed that Simon.

Magnus walks to the balcony and throws a Portal up in the sky.]

ALEC: It's only Edom. You always come back.

"Always come back? Does this happen often?" Alec asked.

Kidnapper just shrugged.

MAGNUS: [one look back at Alec with tears in his eyes] Never thought I'd be a runaway groom.

Maryse managed to laugh weakly with tears in her eyes. "Didn't think you'd ever be a groom."

[Magnus looks up and gets sucked in by the Portal to Edom. Alec walks to the spot where Magnus was just standing and looks up with tears in his eyes. He gets to his knees, crying.

"Oh, Alec," Jace sighed. It killed him to see his Parabatai like this.

Izzy, Jace, and Clary go to Alec to comfort him. They gather around him and they all look up at the rift. The sky now shines out blue light instead of red. There's a light flash and then the sky turns dark.]

"Wow, that was emotional, huh?" asked kidnapper.

"Yes, it was," admitted Clary.

"The next thing you're gonna see is friendship between Clary and Alec!!! I'm super-duper excited about this one, 'cause I absolutely adore it. One of the most beautiful friendships I've seen. Next I will do a friendship/brotherhood of Alec and Jace, because it's beautiful, too."

"One question," said Luke. "How long have we been here?"

Girl looked at her watch. "34 hours, why?"

"What?"

"This room is full of magic preventing you from sleeping. When you get back to your world, you'll be sleeping for 4 days. Or more. I'm kinda new to this magic world."
