"Exactly! You won't believe how easily he solved the sum. As if... As if... like you know, like... Everything was already printed on the pages of his copy with some invisible ink and... And only he could see that."
"But I swear, girl! I swear that I had been reading all the books I could arrange and yet I found the penteract value no where."
"I know right? It's pretty unbelievable for me how he could solve it with ease. I remember that my mum was an actual stupid because she could barely understand the most solvable things. I wonder whose genes he got."
"You know, at this rate, I really want to know your roots. You have no ideas of who your father is, right?"
"Nah, girl! I don't have a single clue about who my sperm donor is. Heeseung does but will never tell me. Apparently he hides our roots. And I'm clueless about my roots."
"Haha! That's funny. I think, I hate my Hispanic roots. That other day, I found my mum on IG and you know what? Her daughter got married."
"You have an alleged sister?"
"Exactly!"
We can't carry the weight of the world on our shoulders alone. We love different things and it pains to see political situations in our own hearts that need ample efforts to be soothed. We do not have a long way with words when they need to be spoken out loud and tend to talk very loudly in our heads.
But sometimes we don't like the monologue. We want someone to share. They might not even be good with advice. They might not even completely relate. But there are people out there who will still listen and not just hear.
Addelyn was the one who generally kept quiet when I ranted out all my frustrations, but it's been a while since I really needed to vent out.
I have heard several stories of her life and how much she has been adored by people because of her bubbly personality and then her beautiful achievements. But her little demands in between have always been a source of entertainment to me.
I uttered another set of dialogues with an excited yet taken aback by the revelation, face.
"And how old is she?"
"I don't know. Looked pretty much younger, has to be atleast 10 years younger if it's her daughter by blood. Else could be of any age." She rolled her eyes and frowned at how her own family was hypocritic.
"Lol. Anyways, I was wondering if you can gather the team this while to work on the next set of questions. We know the penteract value and just remain to measure the later half. You'll be working on it with us, won't you?"
"Yeah. I'll meet you in the evening with the Chois in our lab. Be on time."
"Sure!" Moving my body towards my office, I left Addelyn on her way to the seminar with her PhD guide. I had a planned schedule today. I was supposed to write a document for the projects and review the files.
