"You cleaned houses? That's pretty off about your character."
"I'll sue you one day."
"For what? Telling the truth?"
"Yah!"

My brother, Heeseung and I, drove through the empty lanes of the night. He never changed. Yet again after ages, he still loves trolling me whenever possible.

This man is 26 years old but the same 12 year old boy, who would have been hit by the car.

We remained silent. The rain was drizzling over us with cold gushes of wind, chilling our journey.

The only thing about the night was that it was always quiet and peaceful. The scenic beauty of the lights, far away somewhere, was my favourite.

I was staring outside the window, dreaming of something, I might not be able to express through words but just my eyes.

"Do those lights ever get tired of glowing?" I whispered my question.

Heeseung diverted his gaze at me and scrunched his eyebrows, questioning my question. He again stared out at the road, chuckling a tiny smile.

"You never changed, did you?" He said.

"Mhm?"

"Yeah, those lights do get tired. And that is why they're switched off. They rest when they're switched off to glow bright in the night."

"What if someone never turns them off?" I asked another question.

"They keep on glowing untill their tungsten filament has had it's enough. They fuse or explode after that."

"Is it like giving up?"

"Maybe."

"They get destroyed. Is it like suicide?"

"Probably. Maybe it is. But it's not because they didn't want to live, but because their work was done."

"What if I fuse one day?"

His orbs turned to me for a second time, scanning me and my emotions. I know he understands what I wanted him to understand. But I want to know how he reacts to my statement.

I would have went off long back. But I'm still living for him and Addie. Maybe, I'll fuse soon.

"The bulb doesn't fuse until it has glowed it's best, in the darkest night. You must glow as bright as it, in your darkest night to fuse the next day. And when you'll have glowed bright enough, I'll switch you off. And even after that if you fuse someday, I'll fuse with you." He smiled at the moon in the sky, which looked like our mother.

"You see that moon, it lights the dark night. Naturally. Without anyone's words. It has days when it's covered with black and glows less. But still manages to be full and big again." He said.

"And you know the darker days are just another new start. That's why it's called new moon." He rubbed circles on my hand with his left pointer.

We were driving at a slower pace, our car was old. And he preferred driving slow and take as long as it might. Accidents are the only risk he avoids in his perilous life.
