Chapter 3: A Dragon at the church

3rd PoV

It's been a few days since the devils tried to intimidate the being known as Hirokami Kei. They learned the hard way that they couldn't stop him. That he was way stronger than all of them. It didn't help that Issei and Saji were still new to all of this.

It didn't help that they couldn't ask for help. He made it clear that they couldn't tell a single soul or they won't be seeing the light ever again. He threatened the whole devil faction. Usually, no one would dare to make such a statement, they were the strongest faction.

But what if? All of the devils present in the ORC that day had the same thought. What if it was not an empty threat? What if he had the resources to go to war? It was such a dumb thing to think. How could a single person go to war?

They couldn't forget it. Every time they tried to shrug it off, the memory of that day would come like a tsunami. He was scary, no, scary wasn't the right word. He was terrifying. Rias and Sona didn't want to think of that but maybe...he was stronger than their four satans. 

It was absurd. How? Kei wasn't human, they could confirm it. But was he? That burst of energy, that purple energy. Even if it was crushing, they could still feel a mix of negative energy, holy energy, and draconic energy. But a being with those combined was unheard of.

The night was there as the ORC and the student council were altogether in the student council room. They needed to talk about their next actions.

Rias" What?!"

Sona" I said that I and my peerage will do nothing."

Rias" How can you say that when he openly threatened all of us?!"

Sona" He's on a completely different level Rias. I dare to say that he's stronger than my sister, which is abnormal for someone who just appeared out of nowhere. Trying to pressure him without any knowledge of him, was a mistake that I won't make again."

There she was, the Sona Sitri that the whole Underworld was proud of. A mindful tactician, that has the potential to become the smartest devil. She placed her and her peerage's safety above the rest, like a king.

But not all kings can be great.

Rias" So you're just going to let him do what he wants!?"

Sona" He didn't do anything wrong. Moreover, he took care of a fallen angel that was in our territory. He took care of a problem, but that's not the end. The fallen are our priorities."

Rias" The fallen are mine, they killed Issei, I'll make sure to make them pay! That's why I wanted you to take care of him!"

Sona" And I will. I don't know what's going on in that brain of yours but we can't make an enemy on someone like him. Even if he doesn't join a peerage, I can still try to create an alliance between us. All you have to do is not engage him. Don't send someone to spy on him. That's all."

Rias wanted to deny everything she said with all her might but she couldn't. Everything Sona said was right. But she couldn't let someone so valuable slip away from her. Not with her situation.

Sona" I know that look. You just want him to stop it, am I right?"

Rias didn't answer and bite her lower lip, looking down.

Sona" I knew it. Don't do it. That's all I'm gonna say. You can leave, we have work to do."

She got up from the couch and went to her desk as the other members went on their way. Rias and her friends left the room, walking towards their club.
