It was the day before thanksgiving break like always they were in the gym before anyone else arrived at school. And after there hand to hand which could both ways depending on the mood of the two. They were both taking a breather. "Are you going to be able to handle no training for an entire week." If it was one thing James had learned about Chloe it was that not only did she have a lot of pent up anger. She was also a piece of fucking work and she was scary.
She chuckled she wasn't too worried knowing that she would be busy dealing with family since they were all going to be at the house at the same time. "I think i can survive."
He went and sat down next to the wall. While he was using her for his end game. He could admit that she was getting easier to be around the more she learned and released her anger. "You're doing better."
"I'm not a fighter I'm a weapons person." She didn't need anyone to tell her that she knew that she wasn't the best fighter but she was still good and you weren't getting her down easy but with weapons it was an entirely different story. No one was getting her. "And i was never a bad fighter i can take all my brothers on a bad day."
James knew weapons could only go so far fighting was going to be the best bet. "Well weapons person or not you can be a better fighter with practice, and you are getting better."
Chloe looked over to him seeing the tattoo that was on his side. She had noticed it but she hadn't asked about it yet. "What this?"
He looked at her confused he wasn't sure what she was talking about. "What?"
She went and sat next to him she knew that it had to have a meaning he didn't seem like the type of person to just get something for the hell of it. "On your side what is that? Tattoo?"
"Personal." He didn't like talking about it was his reminder of what he was doing this for. He was going to avenge his mother and do whatever it took to get his throne his mother had thought he deserved it and he was going to fight for it.
She scoffed she was sure that after the last few weeks they could do more than act like they were trying to kill each other. "I've seen you shirtless and I've seen you sweat." Now she was curious especially since he was being cagey about it. "What does it mean."
James sighed if Chloe was anything it was pushy when she wanted something she got it. "It's for my mom she died unfairly. Everything i do it's for her."
"So, what does it mean?" If it was for his mom, she knew that it was special.
He traced the tattoo he was going to make his mom proud one way or another he was going to get his throne. "It's crown with her initials EK. And then queen. Then monarch butterflies she's flying to new heights."
Getting a tattoo in honor of her mom to remind her what she was working for didn't sound like a bad idea. "Did it hurt?"
"Been through a lot of shit where these types of things don't phase me." He was the bastard child no one thought he could do anything, but he was about to prove them all wrong he was about to go after the one thing his mom gave to him, and he didn't care what he had to do to get it.
"Well usually i am doing all the talking so i wouldn't know." She had told him why she was doing this she refused to be weak and she was going to take down the people that took her mother from her. And she could tell that he wasn't just doing this to be nice he wanted to stay on top to. "I told you about my mom what happened to yours."
"She was in a position of power after having me she was forced to marry she ended up pregnant he didn't want her near me she died not long after having my sister." James hated his stepfather and he was going to take all the power from him just as David had done his mother. "She was killed because she wanted me and now, I'm taking back what is mine slowly."
