It had been a while since the sun bid goodbye to its duties and let the moon shine. The pendulum on the clock constantly moving, waiting for both small and large hands of the clock to meet at 12:00; so it could unleash the cuckoo it had been hiding behind those little doors. Unbothered by anything around was a boy trying to creep his way to the cupboard and back to the bag on the bed; in at most silence not wanting to wake his roommate up.
In the little light provided by the study lamp, there was Kim Taehyung~ packing all his belongings to runaway from his college hostel to the bustling city of Seoul; a day before his graduation. His lip formed a pout as he carefully closed the zip of the bag and grabbed his phone, before leaning against a wall sending a message to his parents.
Dear Mom and Dad,
It is me, the result of your activities 26 years ago. The decision I'm talking now might make you regret the years you spent on me. I'm going to Seoul, all alone!! Dad, before you get all angry and mom, before you get all shocked; it is just for a year and within no time, Kim Taehyung will be back at your doorsteps. My lovely parents, if you are wondering what about the money you spent for 4 years on my college, then don't you worry! I already collected my graduation certificate~ who wants to attend a cap-throwing ceremony anyways. Just to let you know that all my expenses in Seoul will be handled with the 2 000 000 won you sent~ it was no graduation fees, but Taehyungs travelling expenses. If a doubt arises in your little minds, about why I didn't leave after my graduation: I have been convincing the both of you for a year break before I join that company of your friend's son, but you don't seem to let me; having eye contact with you will completely close my opportunity of exploring Seoul. Hence, I took the decision of running away. I shall constantly send pictures from time to time~ to remind you of my existence and to stop you from disowning me. I will miss you all soooooo much, by any chance if you feel wetness around you, it is my tears that has travelled through Whatsapp! Today is the 15th, I'll reach Seoul by 16th morning.
With a heartful of excitement, and a little bit of apology, Kim Taehyung
Just like that, Taehyung crawled down the pipe and walked past the bushes, as he finally reached the tall, concrete wall of his campus.
He managed to climb the border, with his eyes narrowed; looking around before jumping down to the other side. His nimble fingers brushed against each other, as he look behind. Those pretty eyes of his beaming in pride.
"To Seoul!" He screamed, positioning himself like Batman, just to run to his cab that he booked a while back, after hearing footsteps.

Silence was omnipresent, as the walls of the room watched one of the most important meetings of the year happen. In the roundtable sat police officials, CID's, investigators, forensic department, doctors and even the rare appear, the president. Horror washed all their faces, a thin fear was present in all of them; yet none were able to express it.
"Is there any update on the Signed Man", the president's voice echoed in the cabin.
"None sir! It is the first time Seoul has ever faced such a incident. It has been over 6 deaths, and we are unable to get even a single clue."
"He/She seems to be having a lot of medical knowledge. Most of the chemicals and compounds that have been used clear any evidences without a trace or when injected just don't leave a trace."
"Every time, there was a murder, he signed the date of the next, but this time there was none. The victim's body was thoroughly searched."
"People aren't even aware of what's happening and are just living their lives. Some sort of awareness would let them be more careful. President, I agree with media coverage just triggering the accused to be more active; but some coverage, at least within Seoul could be of benefit. "
"Enough!!". the president finally spoke. Helplessness evident on his face. The fact that even their family was in danger made it all worse for everyone present in the room.
"I shall impose a lockdown today, the 16th at 10:00 am! 6 hours for any intercity travel after which Seoul will shut down. Let's see how this will change the situation."
"Before I leave, kindly inform the Airport and Train authority to avoid any disturbances in the future. I also want police protection on the streets of Seoul 24/7. I know it is a tough time~ let's try to overcome it! The news and happenings shouldn't be a major talk on media; there is hardly any coverage to the issue now and I hope it remains the same way. The lockdown will be announced as for pollution and inflation reasons."
Once the President left, the chatters in the office began to rise once again.
"Those who are traveling out of Seoul might just be a little luckier than the others. Being out of Seoul didn't stop the previous murders. Those who are entering the city via train in the next 6 hours, is inviting hell. People don't know in detail of what's happening here. At least a little media coverage would allow these innocent souls to avoid getting themselves in danger; but the man here is doing everything in his will to ensure the news isn't spreading like wildfire. I won't blame him either, in a population of 9 million, why would he bother about 6 deaths."
In between all this chaos was Kim Taehyung entering Seoul, as the last train for any intercity travel passed by him.
