Twenty One Days| Taekook

Chapter 1

The darkness of the room was barely illuminated with just a tiny lamp. The blanket provided all the warmth it could against the cold night. Silence prevailed to such extent he doubted if he was the only one that struggled to sleep. Those brown orbs suddenly found the ceiling to be the most interesting feature in the world; and was hell bent against letting those mono and double eyelids shut.

Taehyung mind was constantly bickering if he should make his way to the elder's room; quietly hating his fear of sleeping alone. He gained all the guts he could, and wrapped the thick, black blanket around his head; holding it together near his neck. He definitely didn't look like robber.

His little head peeped out of the door, while his eyes moved in every direction possible to ensure the corridor was free. Tiny, quiet steps were made as he crept his way to Jungkook's room.

The door opened to a boy cuddled up on the mattress, a look of peace evident on his face. A spark of jealously ignited Tae's heart.

He also wanted to sleep so peacefully, without caring about losing it all when he opens his eyes.

Letting out a deep sigh, he slowly shut the door close and made his way to Jungkook's bed.

"It might be a invasion of privacy if I just lie down next to him.. let me ask his permission", Taehyung thought to himself.

In no time, little whispers echoed in the room.

"Jungkook"
"Jungkookie"
"Jwekayyy"

The bunny squirmed to the calls before letting his eyes give up and attend to the calls. Taehyung's lips pursed into a thin line; while he purposely inflated his nose, moving his face close to Jungkook's eyes.

Within seconds, Jungkook let out the most inhumane scream; leading to Taehyung's eyes widen larger than ever.

"Thief, Thief"
"Move away! I'll kill you, I have a gun"

"One more second, I let this idiot scream; I'm inviting more danger" Taehyung thought, before taking a pillow and stuffing it against Jungkook's face.

"I'm Taehyung! Not some robber, idiot!"

Taehyung only heard fumbles emitting Jungkook's mouth, before Taehyung screamed in pain as Jungkook kicked him in the nut.

"Asshole! Why did you just disable my ability to have kids?", Taehyung yelled before rolling around in the little space he had.

"Dumbshit! You would have disabled my ability to live if I didn't kick you! Who the hell suffocates someone after bombarding into their room"

"Ugh! Sorry! I couldn't sleep and thought I'll come here! Who knew you would scream like a maniac"

The wild, defensive bunny look on Jungkook's face calmed to a fluffy bunny.

"Sleep issues?! Wanna talk about it? Promise I won't talk about it after this. You might feel better."

Taehyung remained silent for a while before replying, "Hmm! okay, I'll tell you; but limited quantities maybe I might feel better"

"Yee, ever heard that you will always feel better after talking to a stranger. I am one, its not like we are gonna ever meet after these 21 days."

Tae's shoulders visibly shrunk; the change in his mood could be seen by anyone.

He whispered a sad, "Right".

That quirky, proud smirk appeared on Jungkook's face. Before he shifted closer to Taehyung, his raspy voice echoed in Tae's ear.

"Looks like you are planning to live with me forever. I don't have a problem, but its personality over looks and you could be a serial killer in disguise."

A red stroke painted Taehyung's cheeks, as he side-eyed Jungkook. He leaned closer just to whisper: "So my looks are fine, hmmm!"

"You were supposed to talk about yourself! You can flirt with me later. I'm single!," Jungkook replied.

"It's nothing big! I grew up with my grandparents as a kid. My parents used to work in the States, and rarely visited. I was around 6, when I went through the 'I am a big boy, I will sleep alone' phase. I clearly remember my parents really wanted to sleep along with me; it was kind off unusual. Suddenly, the next morning.." Tae paused, being unable to continue as drops of tears rolled down.

Jungkook went closer and wrapped his hands around Tae; engulfing him in the warmest hug. Tae's ears were treated to the sweetest words, as he encouraged him to continue.

"I'm here, always! Let it out.."

"The next morning, my grandmother woke up with tears to say that god decided to take my parents. The stupid 6 year old didn't know the intensity of those words and laughed it off. It was later down the years that I realized what happened; it was so sudden. Maybe if I cuddled with them, I could have enjoyed more moments with them. Ever since, I never slept alone and always bothered someone to cuddle with me. There is this weird fear that if I don't cuddle someone, they will just disappear. I can see the confusion on your face when I said my parents died. The people I referred to as my parents yesterday were my aunt and her husband."

"Also, I know we just meet; but can we stay like this?"

"Firstly, don't think your trauma isn't big. Different things hold different intensities to people. Yes, you could have had more moments to cherish with your parents but what would that change? Don't beat yourself up over it. I bet your parents are nodding their heads; agreeing with everything I say."

Jungkook continued, "We can stay like this..My hands wrapped around you, your face buried in my chest. Sure.."

"Nobody asked you for a descriptive speech.. Shut up!" A very flustered Taehyung replied.

"You know, I used to torture my roommate to cuddle me to sleep and now I'll torture you."

"Wait a second!" Jungkook interrupted.
"This may not sound important, but I need to know this. You said I disabled your ability to have kids when I kicked you there. I'm confident you are gay or bisexual. No judgements, but I have big doubts if you top."

"I haven't explored much, I'm very much a virgin; but I think I could easily top you"- Taehyung replied with a smirk.

"Keep dreaming! Looks like you are already sleepy." Jungkook finally, replied before pulling Taehyung closer; wrapping his blanket around him.
