Chapter 0 6

Sophie
"SO, SHOULD WE BRING KNIVES or something?" Macy asked.
She and her older sister had been discussing what they should do to save their mother. Macy had decided that they should bring as many weapons as possible. Sophie wasn't exactly sure if she knew how to use them, but then again, she didn't know half of the things that Macy did. Which she was sure she shouldn't be doing. But the one time she tried to bring it up, and scold her (for trespassing into private property for a dare!) Macy freaked out and went totally psycho on her. Sophie hadn't brought up Macy's illegal doings after that. She didn't want to end up in a ditch somewhere, because for all she knew, Macy was in the mafia.
"I don't know if it'll make a difference, but it'll definitely make me feel better, y'know, that we'll have something to defend ourselves with." Sophie replied, "And it will help me feel better about what we're about to do." She definitely didn't want to get dragged into the mafia by her sister. Or be a criminal. If the cops came, she would either throw her sister under the bus or tell them she was innocent and protecting herself and that they should arrest Macy because she was pretty sure she was in the mafia. So basically, she would be throwing Macy under the bus in both scenarios.
For once, the two sisters were getting along (as well as you can for hating each other your entire life), because of their mission to save their mom and Macy's dad.
"Yeah you're right," Macy said, "it'll give us hope."
"Hope," Sophie echoed.
They grabbed big knives from the kitchen, child safe scissors from their childhood play room, big scissors from the kitchen, pocket knives from her father's tool shed and even their dad's box cutters. Grabbing her fathers tool belt, Macy strung up a hammer, crobar and other assorted weapons she had collected. Once they got their weapons, they went to look for the proper attire.
The sisters entered Macy's bedroom, the second bedroom on the right on the second floor. It was covered in sports posters, mostly of soccer and her favorite team and players. A smallish blue and grey bed was pushed up against the back wall, with soccer pillows. Near the door, in a place best described as a book nook, was a soccer net that fit perfectly in the area. A shelf above the bed held many trophies and medals and a few books. The walls were a beautiful periwinkle blue. A grey closet was pushed up by the left wall and it too was covered with posters. On the right wall there was a blue and grey basketball hoop lined with sports themed stickers. Sophie felt like she had walked into her sister's mind, and it was not a good thing.
Macy walked straight to the closet as Sophie looked around. "Well, come here!" Macy exclaimed, shuffling around in her closet, which was bigger than it seemed. Sophie looked around, trying not to touch anything.
"Do you have anything, um, not sports related?" she asked.
"No." Macy said distractedly, continuing to look around in her closet.
"Ok.." Sophie replied, deciding to awkwardly stand in front of the bed. "So um, you play... basketball , right? No wait, soccer!"
Macy turned around "Yes, I play soccer" she said and turned back to the closet.
"Are you like, actually on the team or..?"
Macy spun around to glare at her. "You're joking, right? What do you think all my training was for? Why all those trophies and medals there?!'' She scowled.
