Belladonna
BELLA TOOK A DEEP BREATH as she stared at her mother's wicked face. It was true, she could at least hold her own against her mother, but she was a 10 year old girl and her mother was a 30 year old woman, with 2 decades of magic fighting experience. Since her mother was Tempest and her father Cimilada, it was to be expected that she was powerful, since both of her parents were powerful mages from Raylem. And she was. Her mother could control water and her father could control gases, and she could turn purple, red and blue objects that were solid into liquids which she could then manipulate.
But it wasn't how interesting her powers were, that mattered. It was if her liquid was as powerful as her mothers water. Could her magic be enough to best Tempest? To beat the only person that almost matched her uncle's power? The sound of loud cheering (or was it jeering? Bella couldn't tell them apart.) snapped the young girl out of her apprehension.
"Are you ready, daughter?" Skia deadpanned, a sinister grin on her pale blue face. Bella looked up bravely and then cocked her head to the side arrogantly, like she had seen her mother and father do countless times. "Of course I am, mother," she replied in the same tone, while her eyes flitted about the area for anything she could use. She spotted Bowrain Path, which led to Bowrain Park. The park was made entirely of different vivid, bright colors that she could use. It was okay if she and the other children didn't have a swing set anymore, right?
Suddenly, A huge wave of water was rushing over Belladonna, who was entirely unprepared. Bella reacted as soon as she could, twisting her hand towards the swing set and blasting the purple water against the blue.
Suddenly, red, purple and blue liquid was flying across the 'arena', clashing violently with water. Belladonna gasped in pain as a sharp, almost solid, shard-looking piece of water pierced her shoulder, letting red blood roam freely down her arm. She grit her teeth and tried not to focus on the pain, instead twisting her arm to cause a gush of her purple substance to momentarily knock Skia off her feet.
Taking advantage of Skia getting up, she raised her arms towards the jungle gym, which was a bright red, and bent her hands, consequently turning it into a red fluid. She raised her hands, pointing to Tempest, before spreading her finger apart, causing the huge liquid ball to turn into many tiny ones. She put her palm on the air, horizontally, keeping her fingers spread out, and the small spheres of liquid became solid, as well as pointed at the ends, causing them to turn into solid rhombuses. At that moment, Tempest looked up at the rigid diamonds, a look of dread dawning on her face. Before she could even lift her finger, though, Belladonna let her hands drop, at the same time dropping all of the twenty-fix red liquidish-diamonds onto her mother. She watched as her mothers eyes widened in fear before letting out a blood curdling scream as Bella's creation impaled her body.
Bella winced. She never meant for her mother to get hurt. She never wanted anyone to get hurt. She watched for a moment as the Esmeray hurried to Tempest, trying to help her. Before they could catch her, though, Bella hurried away from all of the Esmeray, heading as far away as she could. She looked back, and saw that the Esmeray were still helping Skia.
She spun on her heel. She really needed to leave. Now. Who knew how long it would take her mom to get back up? And if the other Esmeray's helped Skia to get, capture and injure Bella, she wouldn't stand a chance. Leaving now was her best shot at, not only her own survival, but also at helping Macy and Sophie get their mom back. Tempest had hurt so many innocent people, and for years, Belladonna had just stood by and didn't bother to help them, even though she could. But not anymore. Now, she was going to do whatever she could to help those innocent people. She couldn't get back the lives her mother had taken, but she could prevent her from taking more.
The young girl ran as fast as she could, before suddenly getting a weird feeling and stopping. She turned around slowly before registering a loud BANG and was thrown backwards. She blearily opened her eyes, taking in all of the fire and chaos, before the world faded to darkness...
