The Family Madrigal

Y/n woke up as the oldest sibling was banging on their door like he was about to die any second,begging his little sibling to come and visit the village with him.Y/n groans and get out of bed,and go open the door just to look at Andrès and sigh. "Could you give me time to shower and get dressed before dragging me out there?" They asked,their brother agreed and went to wait for them in the living room,on the comfortable sofa.Y/n accepted to go with him because the oldest have no sense of direction,so if Y/n didn't came he would probably get lost and never come back.It happened once,everyone was so scared.Everyone except Andrès. He was pretty chill with being lost.

Y/n took a shower,and dressed up with the clothes that was in their wardrobe. Cool black skirt/pants with a white top,decorated with little suns,stars and moons embroidered on it. They look at themselves in the mirror. "Oh wow I actually look great!" they said,doing a little dance move in front of the mirror,then leaving the room to go brush their teeth,and joined their brother in the living room,grabbing breakfast first.They took a bit of their food before making a weird face. "Ew,toothpaste taste." They finished the snack though,of course.They found it disgusting with the taste but ate it anyway.No food go to waste here.

Andrès then grabbed Y/n arm and dragged them outside with him. Toni already left earlier,living his life on his own.The two siblings visited the village,one being more extroverted than the other,how surprising. The Madrigal kids were in the town as well,but what grabbed the attention of Y/n was a group of kids running toward a big house,the house of the Madrigals apparently. They checked that their brother wouldn't get lost but with all the peoples here Y/n was sure he would be fine and decided to folllow the kids,curious. The childrens were asking the girl with green glasses what were her "gift". "A gift?is it her birthday?" Y/n thought to themselves. Apparently everyone in her family had a gift,which confused Y/n even more,and they decided to step closer,as the young girl was laughing about the kids asking about the famous gifts.

"You are not going to leave me alone aren't you?" The energetic girl said,and she started to sing to her house,and the house responded? Opening drawers,moving floors,making doors glow.

Y/n was obviously confused,as no one told them that the people here apparently have magic houses.She banged on all the doors,and introduced the old lady Y/n saw yesterday as Abuela,who is the chief of the family. The girl then leaved her house,the group of kids following her closely,listening to her singing,as well as Y/n. She was dancing and approched a painting on a wall,all of her family,Y/n remembered each one that was here to greet them and their family when they arrived,all except one, a man in the middle,but they had no time to stay and question who is the man in question,as the girl started to sing about what her family can do,and Y/n quickly followed,it could be useful to know this.

"My tìa Pepa,her mood affects the weather,when shes's unhappy,well the temperature gets weird" she sang as we walked by the lady with sun earrings,with a..thunder cloud above her head? Y/n was definitely getting more interested by the strange family.

"My tìo Bruno!" She said while showing the man on the painting Y/n haven't saw yesterday.
"We don't talk about Bruno!" The whole village seemed to have heard the girl's singing,and stopped her before she could say anything about the strange man. She whispered to them, "They say he saw the future,one day he disappeared" "The future?" Y/n thought,wondering what he could have seen that was so bad.

"Oh!And that's my mom Julieta here's her deal,whoa! The Truth is she can heal you with a meal!Whoa!Her recipes are remedies for real!" She continued,introducing her mother,Y/n quite liked her gift,it have to do with food,of course they would like it.
"If you're impressed imagine how i feel,mom!" her mother gave her a hug,Y/n smiled,it was very cute.

Two mans came by,dancing as well,and the girl introduced them.
"Two guys fell in love with Family Madrigal!" she said. "And now they're part of the Family Madrigal!" "So yeah,Tìo Felix married Pepa" The man with a yellow shirt kissed the lady with sun earrings. Y/n looked at them "Aw that's adorable!" they thought,still following the green glasses singing girl.
"And my dad married Julieta" She showed her parents,Y/n tried to remember all the relations in the family.

"That's how Abuela became an Abuela Madrigal!" She sang,introducing again her grandma,who sang that the family help the village as much as they can,making it grow.Y/n was amazed by the story of the Madrigals,and couldn't believe that their parents didn't tell them about the magic before.

The kids though,still had lots of questions for the young girl,asking who is the sister and who is the cousin,saying that there is too many peoples to remember them all,Y/n agreed on that,and the girl hyped them while going back to the painting on the wall,doing a little dance,followed by the kids and Y/n.

"Cousin Dolores,can hear a pin drop!" She sang as Dolores came by,making it clear that she Indeed heard the song calling her name.She waved to Y/n,who akwardly waved back,smiling.

"Camilo shapeshifts!" Hearing the name of the boy quickly grabbed the attention of Y/n,who thought of him all night,wondering how to befriend him.Camilo was helping a tired mother,shapeshifting into her to take care of her baby while she rested,and when he saw the kids and Y/n looking at him,he waved with his usual smug smile.

"Antonio gets his gift today!" There was a little kid dressed all in white,he seemed nervous,he is probably why there is a party, Y/n understood better.

The girl then moved on to two girls,the flower girl and the other that looked very strong. "My olders sisters" she sang, "Isabella and Luisa!One strong one graceful,perfect in every way!" the villagers sang the name of Isabella,and the girl proceeded "Grows a flower,the town goes wild,she a perfect golden child.." Y/n couldn't help but feel bad for the girl,her last sentence sounded so sad. But the girl was already talking about her other sister.

"And Luisa's super strong!" She said as the ground Under their feets moved,it was a bridge,that Luisa was holding like it was nothing,she really is strong! "the beauty and the brawn do no wrong!" Luisa was being called out by her Abuela and ran to her next chore,leaving the kids and Y/n amazed by her strength.

Then the kids asked the girl about her own gift,and she seemed nervous,saying she have to go,but the kids followed her as she review again all her family,as the childrens screamed her name,which was apparently Mirabel,they followed her to her house ,where her Abuela called her name,wondering what she was up to. Y/n got startled by the voice of the lady,it felt powerful. The kids told her that Mirabel was going to tell them about her gift,and Dolores passed by. "Oh,Mirabel didn't get one" she said,followed by a little sound,and then she went back to her occupations.Some of the family was back at their house,who they call Casita,like Dolores,Isabella,Luisa and.. Y/n turned their head to the right to see Camilo,looking at them with a smile,which scared Y/n. "When did you get here?!" asked the teen,trying to calm down their heart. Camilo laughed, "Since your little group got here,hermosa/o." He is flirty as always,and Y/n turned red,they gently flicked his forehead,and the boy overreacted,acting like he is in pain,but Y/n got worried. "Oh I'm sorry did it hurts?" Camilo reassured the young person, chuckling 'No no,don't worry i'm good hermosa/o."

Dolores,hearing everything,went to check on the two teens,teasing Camilo. "Holà Camilo,I see you made a friend,you should show them around one day,you know like a little date?" and in a second,she disappeared.Y/n laughed and looked at Camilo,who for once wasn't laughing,his face was all red,and they both made eye contact for a second,he run his hand through his hair,fixing it,while saying he has to go because he still have things to do. He sounded very shy though,it changed compared to the flirty boy he was a few minutes ago before his sister teased him,and Y/n didn't seem to get it,which is why they laughed. But the boy defenitely understood what she meant.

Y/n saw their family,coming for the party,and the biggest miracle in town would be that their brother was here too,not lost.They approched their family while waving,and their mother hugged them. "I saw you talking again with the little Madrigal,you two were so adorable!" she said,kissing her kid on the cheek. Abuela called everyone,the ceremony was about to start.
