The Dinner

The three persons went downstairs for dinner. Y/n asked Mirabel if they should go home,they didn't want to bother the family,but Mirabel (And Camilo) insisted for them to stay,so they agreed. Y/n sat next to Mirabel and her dad.It was so obvious that they were hiding Something,Y/n looked at both of them and sighed. "If this somehow goes well i'll be surprised." they thought to themselves,Camilo looked at the three of them. He already knew that something was happening but he didn't know the entire story. Abuela was sitted next to the Uzmans. "The Uzmans and the Madrigals together will be so good for the Encanto" she said to Mariano's mother.The mother agreed. "Yes,then let's hope tonight is not a horrible disaster!" The mother said. "Yup,let's hope." Y/n whispered to themselves.

Meanwhile,Mirabel was staring at Dolores.Y/n decided not to question it and ate.Mariano passed a bowl of avocado in front of Mirabel,breaking the girl's eye contact with her cousin. Y/n looked up,and Dolores was already telling everything to Camilo.The boy choked and turned into Mirabel,Y/n and Bruno,and then turned back into himself,his face not looking the same as usual.The family looked at him,Abuela refilled her wine glass,with a forced smile."Camilo,fix your face" his father Felix whispered to him. The boy then shook his head and stared at Y/n. "I didn't knew that!" he mouthed to Y/n,who akwardly smiled and turned their head to Mirabel. Isabella passed water in front of Mirabel,like her boyfriend.Camilo told his dad,who spitted water on the Uzmans and their food.Abuela looked at Mirabel,with a forced smile. "Mirabel?" the old lady asked. Mirabel got startled. "Wha- yes?" The girl responded. "The cream,please." Asked Abuela. "Ah,yes! Pà,the cream?" the girl asked her dad,who laughed akwardly,passing the cream to Y/n,who passed it to Mirabel. "This is very akward and they are making it very obvious." thought Y/n. Mirabel and her friend looked back at Felix,and he was already telling his wife,who looked at the two,thundering.

"Pepa,the cloud!" Abuela said to her daughter. Pepa tried to calm down. Y/n heard Mirabel gasp and looked right back at Pepa,telling Mirabel's mom. "Oh we are doomed." whispered Y/n to their friend.When the mother looked at her youngest,chocked,Mirabel looked away,drinking her juice.Y/n did the same as her.Mirabel looked down,and a big crack appeared Under her feets,and she got Under the table to check,Y/n hitting her with their elbow multiples times. Mariano reached out to the girl. "Mirabel?" he said. Mirabel quickly got up,hitting her head on the table,Y/n got scared and almost fell out of their chair,the whole table was looking at the two kids."Everything's okay?" Mariano continued. The girl looked at him without saying anything. Y/n tried to break the silence. "uhhh-" but they got interrupted by Mirabel's taking both their hand and smiling nervously. "Everything is great,they are just excited,for you to propose." He said.Mirabel and Y/n agreed. "For you to propose.Which you should do!As fast as you can." The father finished.Abuela looked upset.It was not going as perfect as she expected. Mariano looked confused. "Uh...I was actually gonna.." He started. "You were actually gonna,great!" said Y/n,interrupting him while Mirabel turned her sister's chair to face her boyfriend,dusting her shoulder.Mariano looked at his mother. "Oh- well,since everyone here has a talent,my Mariano wanted to begin with a song!" The mother said,and reached out to Luisa. "Luisa!Could you bring over the piano?" she asked. They all turned their heads to the poor Luisa,she looked like she was about to burst out crying. "Mirabel,she uh..can't do it." Y/n whispered to Mirabel,while Luisa went to get the piano. Mirabel got up and tilted Mariano's chair for him to kneel in front of Isabella. "Uh,it's actually family tradition to sing after!" She said.

Mariano then got a box out of his Pocket,and started his proposal. "Isabella,most graceful of all the Madrigals-" Y/n saw a crack forming and whispered to Mirabel to get the girl's attention. And Mirabel directly jumped on it,hiding it. "That was the worst way to hide it,Mirabel,but yup you got it." thought Y/n,smiling nervously at their friend."You're doing great." The girl said to Mariano. Each second that passed was more and more akward.As Mariano continued proposing,the two teens saw one of Antonio's animal stealing the vision's part from Augustin's pocked. "No!" Y/n and Mirabel whispered at the same time,while Luisa was back with the piano,she was struggling.And she bursted out crying,slamming her head on the piano. Under the table,two animals were putting the vision back together on a tray. Y/n and Mirabel quickly got after the animals. "No!" they both screamed while Mariano asked Isabella the big question.
