The man that lives in the walls

Bruno took Y/n and Mirabel to a room in the walls,there was rats everywhere,a rat house in the corner,some photos on the Walls,some clothes and a lot of other stuff. Y/n looked at a rat and patted it. "Cool rats." They said to Bruno. "Uhhh..thanks?" the man responded. "You never left." Mirabel said,looking around. "Well,I left my tower which was...you know,a lot of stairs."He said,laughing. "Yeah uh about the tower,we kinda broke it haha-" Said Y/n,still petting the rat.Bruno didn't even try to be mad,he just laughed akwardly. "And here,heh?Kitchen adjacent!"Bruno said,pulling out an arepa."Ooh!Plus,free entertaining!" He continued,taking the rat Y/n was petting. "No,my boy!Or girl,or whatever- my friend!" Y/n said,dramatic. Mirabel and Bruno looked at them. "Sorry,I love rats." They said,coming next to Mirabel.Bruno putted a rat on a book,with a little theater decor. "So what do you like?Sports?Game shows?Telenovelas!" There was little cards with drawings of various tv show,the rats were the principals actors. He sitted on his chair,Mirabel stayed up next to him and Y/n sitted on the floor. "Their love could never be." Said Bruno about his rat telenovela. "I don't understand." Mirabel said,looking around his little room. Bruno responded. "Oh,because she's his aunt and she has amnesia,so she can't remember that she's his aunt!" He explained,Y/n was looking at the rats,confused about the script.Mirabel sighed. "It's like a forbidden kind of.." The man kept going,but his niece interrupted him.

"I don't understand why you left,but didn't..leave." The young girl said.Bruno didn't seem comfortable. "Oh well,the mountains around the encanto are pretty tall,and like I said,free food and everything!" The man said,while he got up and took food from a little table,with only one chair.Then he gave food to his rats. "You guys love free food,don't ya?Always hungry,never satisfied." he was talking in a sweet tone to his pets.Mirabel approched the table,and Y/n got up and followed her. On the wall next to the table,there was a crack on the wood. Mirabel looked through it. "What it it,Mirabel?" asked Y/n. Mirabel looked sad. "The dining room.." She responded. Then both of them looked at the table,where there was a plate drawn on it. Y/n was about to cry,it was so sad and unfair that Bruno had to leave and couldn't be with his family,he was the sweetest! They turned back to see Bruno,looking ashamed. "My gift wasn't helping the family..But,I love my family,you know?I just Don't know how to.." He tried to get the right words,and he sitted back in his chair."Well anyway,I think you should go,because...I don't have a good reason,but if I did,you'd be like I should go because that's a good reason!" He was looking away. Mirabel approched him,she still had questions. "Why was I in your vision?" She asked,Bruno looked a her before looking away,a sad look on his face. "Tìo Bruno?I just wanted to make the family proud of me,just once." Y/n backed away,letting the two talk.Bruno looked at his niece.

"But If I should stop...If I'm hurting my family...just tell me." She said,Y/n couldn't help but think about the fight with Camilo,which made them really sad,they were upset at the moment it happened,but not anymore.They just wanted Camilo to be there with them.They really liked the boy a lot and didn't want this to ruin their relationship.

Bruno looked away once again. "I can't tell you...because I don't know." He got the vision parts out of his Pocket,and assembled them on a tray. "I had this vision the night that you didn't get your gift.Abuela was worried about about the magic.So,she begged me to look into the future.See what it meant.And I saw the magic in danger,Our house breaking.And then,I saw you. But the vision was different,it would change.And there was no one answer,no clear fate.Like your future was undecided...But I knew how everyone would look,I knew what everyone would think,because I'm Bruno and people always assume the worst,so..so" Explained Bruno,while Mirabel took the tray. "You left..to protect me?' she asked. "I Don't know which way it'll go...but my guess...the family,the encanto,and the fate of the miracle itself...Well,it's all gonna come down to you. He said before snatching the tray away from the girl's hands. "Or maybe I'm wrong!" he said,and threw the tray away. "You know,it's a mystery,that's why this vision is PPFT-" he finished,before guiding the two teens to the exit.

"Look,if i could help anymore,I would.But that's all I know." He bumped his fists gently on the shoulders of the two persons. "Good luck,I wish i could've have seen more." And he closed the door. "Yeah..." sighed Mirabel. Y/n looked at their friend. "You knew he can,right?It's still his gift,he can see more-" Pointed out Y/n. "Yeah!" said Mirabel,before bursting the man's door open,it made him drop the rat he holded in his hand. "You wish you could have seen more,so see more!" Said the Young girl,getting really close to the poor man who was backing away. "Have another vision!" Y/n finished,following him as well."Oh,no,no.see,I don't do visions anymore." Said Bruno,hiding behind his chair. Y/n sneaked up behind him. "But you could!" They said. The poor man has two curious teen to deal with. "But I won't." He said,taking his broom to keep the two away. "You can't say the weight of the world is on your shoulders,the end!" Mirabel said,taking his broom away from him,while the poor man turned away,hiding the face of the two with his tv Drawings. "If our fate is up to me,me says have another vision!Maybe It'll show me what to do!" She said,and the man tripped on his rats,falling. The two teens looked at him. "She is right." said Y/n with a smile.Bruno got up. "Look even if I wanted to,which I dont,you two wrecked my vision cave!Which is a problem,because I need a big open space!" He said to the two. "We'll find one!" said Y/n. "Where?" the man asked. "Use my room." The three turned their head,Antonio was standing next to the door. The toucan on Y/n shoulder tried to get their attention,and Y/n patted his head." Sorry buddy,i should have paid attention to you,now Antonio,how did you get here?" asked the young person.

"The rats told me everything." He looked at his jaguar,who was about to eat a rat. "Don't eat those." The boy said,and the jaguar backed away immediately.Y/n turned back to Bruno,smiling at him. "There we got the big open space,now let's go rat man!" They said,and the little group got to Antonio's room.Y/n was the last to enter,but they saw Camilo downstairs. "Guys,I'll stay outside just in case anyone wants to come haha good luck bye!" They said to the group before closing the door quickly and hiding behind a vase.

Camilo was talking to Dolores,he sounded like he was about to cry. "Dolores,I swear i didn't mean what I said to them!But now I can't find them anywhere.I didn't think a second what I said,I was just so angry...do you think they will forgive me..?" He asked his sister,who gave him a hug. Y/n was watching them and felt really bad for him. They whispered to themselves. "Camillo..." Dolores,who heard the whisper,patted the boy's head. "Camillo,I think they would forgive you.You just got to let them just a little more time,Alright?" she said to her brother. The boy responded. "Okay...are they safe at least?" He asked.It made Y/n's heart melt,he was worried about them. "Well right now,I would say that yes,they are safe." Said Dolores,winking at Y/n. Of course she knew where they were hidden. Y/n got back in Antonio's room,where Bruno was making a sand circle. He got startled by a capybara,just...standing there. And made the sand circle a little weird,putting the sang around the capybara. Y/n would have done the same. That animal didn't seem to want to move at all. He and Mirabel then sat in the circle,Bruno threw salt behind his shoulder,and lighted the little piles of sand in front of him. "What if i show Something worse?You're gonna be all Bruno make bad things happens,he is creepy and his vision killed my goldfish!" He said to Mirabel. "Got that really traumatized him." Said Y/n,outside the circle. "I Don't think you make bad things happen,sometimes family weirdos just get a bad rap.You can do this." Mirabel comforted her uncle. Antonio lended his jaguar plush to the man. "For the nerves." He said before going back next to Y/n.

And then Mirabel and Bruno took hands,the sand made a dome around them,glowing in green. The dome faded a bit for a moment,but just for a moment. They heard the man talking about"A fight?No,a hug? Yes definitely a hug.Mirabel apparently needed to hug someone to save the magic? But who?" said Y/n. and They got answered pretty quick by Mirabel screaming,upset.

"ISABELLA!?"

"Oh shoot." Y/n said.
