TEMPEST POV
The sounds of my steps clacking throughout the halls as I make my way to my room from the early morning breakfast which I still have yet to get used to, the only thing that has been making it easier for me is the fact that I am officially working to achieve something. "Tempest you are not slick, don't think you can slip away from us to go to the technology building." Sapphire's voice spoke through the halls behind me.
I burst out laughing "Let's not act like this isn't a routine of mine, ma'am I have a job to do." I spoke to her as I opened my room door knowing that they were right behind me, I didn't bother to shut it.
"Every since your meeting and you getting your badge, you've been neglecting us for the technology building," Gia mentioned.
Gabby shut my room door. I looked back at Gia as I was facing my dresser "Because I have work to do and I also must admit, I love it there." I expressed in total honestly.
I have to admit the technology building on this estate looks like something out of a futuristic movie and it is very similar to the Zyus department. The fact that this man has an entire building dedicated to all things involving technology rather it's Mechanical, electronic, or industrial and manufacturing, construction, energy power, agricultural and bio, every type of technology system is in the building. Hell, you would have thought he himself was working for the government or some scientific company because it is absolutely mind-blowing.
The man truly has everything a person could ever need, I wouldn't be surprised if you could build an entire spaceship in that building with all of the resources and types of equipment that building has. It is baffling as to how he even obtained any of the equipment that is in the building, he clearly has connections way beyond Mafia because there is no way.
On top of that, the building itself is beautiful, it's tall, it has several floors and since I have been in there, there hasn't been anyone in the building with me.
I love the privacy of it. I love that I can finally leave his fucking building. "We get that but come on, I'm sure you have more than enough time to work on whatever he has you working on," Sapphire mentioned.
Under these circumstances, being here for two years seem very fucking depressing and I would much rather be done in a year and a half, however, two years go by extremely fast as I was also with Zyus for two years but what made it easier for me while working with Zyus, I liked majority of the people and all of the equipment and resources they had that made me feel as though I was in my own world.
Being in the technology building here gives me the same feeling. When I am in that building, it's like my mind completely shifts to binary codes and I am in my own world. The fact that I don't have a team of people, no one is in the room with me, I don't have to explain anything to anyone or have to worry about anyone coming to check on me or look over my shoulder makes this contract and the two year stretch a bit more appealing I must say, especially if I don't have to interact with him unless it involves the contract and what I am working on and if he's going to constantly be gone all the time, that is even better.
I looked at Sapphire, Gia, and Gabby "You three are acting as if we didn't spend the first however many days it was in this room together, is that not enough? Was that not enough?" I asked.
Sapphire laughed "But now we can go get our nails done together, we can go to the spa together, we can get our hair done--
I shook my head cutting her off "No offense, but my texture of hair is very different than you all texture of hair, no one will be touching this mane of mine until they can show me or prove to me that they have worked with all textures of hair from the finest of strands to the most coarse strands." I informed.
