22. One of a Kind

TEMPEST POV

The sound of chatter amongst the breakfast table was a bit more lively than usual given the fact that Marcellus wasn't at the head of the table, today it was Nino which I must say was very odd but then again wasn't surprising since he's the second man to Marcellus.

It wasn't as bad, Nino didn't require the same 'stand up when entering' rule that Marcellus has but he did expect for everyone to have been seated and quiet before he entered and got seated. That was something Gia and Gabby made sure to explain to me when they told me that Marcellus left Nino in charged while he left.

Mrs. Galileli was sitting at the end of the table as she would if Marcellus was sitting at the head of the table and if Mr. Galilei were absent which he was gone as well along with Marcellus.

Seeing Nino take his powerful role was quite interesting given the fact that his demeanor was a bit different than normal. His aura was a bit different, I guess Marcellus giving him that power while he was gone really boosted Nino or have awakened whatever power his title has.

I knew there were much more to him than he put off to me but I guess we all have our secrets or roles to play.

I only wonder why out of all the times Marcellus has left, now he has given Nino the head chair to sit in. Any other time when Marcellus was away, Mrs. Galilei has sat at the head of the table and even Mr. Galilei has sat at the head of the table which I'm not sure what is his role specifically however, he have sat at the head before Nino. So, I only wonder what has changed.

"Avy." I heard my name being called breaking me out of my daze as I was done eating and just waiting for the others to wrap up so I can head to the technology building.

I focused on the voice that called my name seeing that it was Sapphire. I looked over to her who as usual was sitting beside me. "Yeah?" I answered. 
"Breakfast is done, we've been dismissed and usually you're the first to move out of your seat." She expressed with a light laugh.

I nodded my head "You're right about that" I agreed as I scooted myself from the table seeing others already leaving the table and walking out the dining room and Nino standing at the doors of the dining room along with Mrs. Galilei.

"What were you thinking about?" Gabby voice spoke to me causing me to put my attention onto her. I lightly shook my head "Nothing deep." I informed nonchalantly as we began to walk towards the exit of the dining room. "Tempest you're going to the technology building soon right?" Romeo's voice spoke getting my attention.

I nod my head "Of course, with so much to do I have no choice, I still have yet to complete my entire assessment." I expressed to him. "Mind if I join you?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders "If you want too, that's fine, I'm sure you could still help me with some things that would help me better equip and wrap up my assessment" I answered.

He nodded his head and then headed out the dining room as we were behind him. "You and Romeo are actually getting along, what a surprise. Y'all have been getting along quite well over these few days." Gia smirked at me.

Yeah the Geek isn't so bad after all. I thought to myself. But then again, after him and Marcellus little private meeting and him apologizing to me for his slick comment, I figured he'll have some act right.

I scoffed rolling my eyes "Whatever that smirk is for please have some sense." I expressed to her as we were standing by the dining room doors with Mrs. Galileli and Nino. "It's great to see you become a bit more comfortable here, I guess Romeo is helping?" Mrs. Galileli asked softly smiling.

"I wouldn't say that he's helping me be more comfortable here but I guess I can say it's cool having someone that is a part of the same world as me and what I mean by that is that he's the only other person that understand Technology" I explained briefly.
