Luffy learned that he will be going with his grandfather so he ran to his mom to say goodbye. so Luffy and Garp leave and they go to Garp's hometown dawn island but then Garp gets a call from headquarters on his den den mushi that he needs to get to headquarters NOW!!! Garp asks Makino to take care of Luffy for a little bit and leaves Luffy at the party's bar.
(After 2 weeks)
Luffy got to know Makino, the mayor, and the other villagers. he thought of Makino as a big sister and she thought of him as a little brother. one-day Luffy was in makinos bar and the door of the bar opened and Luffy saw a red-haired man with a straw hat . he then realized who this person was its red hair shanks one of the four emperors.
Luffy looked and screamed "cool"
shanks saw that and walked up to the boy to say hello. shanks walked to Luffy and said "do you know me" and
Luffy said " yea your red hair shanks I learned that from my mom" shanks were making small talk when he asked "whos your mom"
Luffy went to shanks ear and said " imu the owner of the empty throne"
shanks heard that and his heart stopped and he fell over . he got up one minute later and was very surprised but also a little scared. when shanks got up he heard Luffy say " can you train me please please please and can you take me with you when you leave"
shanks were surprised and said "if I ever take you I would die and I will maybe train you later" Luffy was mad and happy but said "ok"
A couple of days past and Luffy and shanks are real good buddy's but then the bar door slammed opened and the Legendary bandit higuma the bear walked in and was talking shit to every pirate in the bar. then higuma walked to makino and asked if he can have 10 barrels of sake. Makino tried to explain that they are out of sake so shanks offered him a bottle but higuma disrespected shanks and smashed the bottle of sake on his head and left. Luffy looked at shanks with anger then went on a rant on how that was sad but then Luffy saw a chest with two weird-looking fruits so he just chucked it up to them as exotic fruits so he picked them up and ate them both. shanks looked at Luffy then the chest then back to Luffy but than Luffy let out a blood-curdling scream and was on the ground moving all types of ways but then he disappeared. shanks has never bin so scaered in his life for kami sakes the god damn king of everything son just disappeared but then the same Luffy that just went bye bye appeared again and looked fine.
shanks looked at Luffy with a bit of relief because he was alive and ok but shanks knew now he has to stay for a bit to help Luffy control his devil fruits.
