Amira was quietly rushing through the silent hallways of the Maw.

The only sound heard was her raspy wheezing as she could sense the dark energy above her in the main area.

For now, she had to escape, there was no reason for her to stay anymore.
The Lady...was gone...Roger...was gone.

She felt tears prick from her eyes at the memory of the man she saw as a father, lying on the ground...armless.

She shook her head as she got to the only exit. She quickly walked out, lowering her head as she felt the warmth of the sunlight... something foreign to her.

She looked at the ship, her only escape, in front of her in silence.

She shook her head as she quickly got onto the ramp, her shoes clicking softly against the wooden board. She felt a light buzzing sound in her head as words echoed through her brain.

She cries out at the orders that were trying to invade her mind as she stumbles onto the boat holding her suitcase tightly as she runs, trying to get as far as possible from the Maw.

She was now at the front of the metal steamboat.
Lightly grasping the pole her eyes stared ahead.  She let out a soft sigh as she leaned forward only to flinch as she held her head.

Her brain felt like it was splitting as the Signal got louder making her stumble around only to fall and trip backwards off the railings.

She stares up in shock.
She felt herself fall slowly, her suitcase still in hand.
Her eyes widened slightly as she tried to let out a scream...but nothing came out as her body plunged into the murky cold water.
She struggled for a bit trying to swim up to the surface as she started to panic, for the first time in so long, she felt fear ...panic...then finally peace.

She floated around as she felt the water rush into her mouth and lungs. The saltiness made her head spin. Her eyes slowly closed as for once in her life she felt...tired ...so tired yet...at peace.
She will finally be free, her mind thought as death seemed to be the only way to be rid of that bothersome noise.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans.

Timeskip:

A body was lying quietly in a stream. It lay still, seemingly dead.
Farther away, a young boy was going through the woods to check his traps.  He carried a warm smile on his face as he searched through the snow only to pause.
There was a smell. A very strange one but it smelt...human yet wet. His eyes widened as his nose twitched before dashing through the snow quickly as he followed the scent which led him to the stream.
He quickly rushed over to the body knelt beside it and placed his head over her chest.
He waited. ...there ..a heartbeat. She was still alive. Though he also heard water.

He frowned down at her in worry before lightly pushing on her chest immediately causing the water to be expelled from her lungs.
He nearly had a heart attack from that " Y..you're still alive..don't worry I'll help you..just stay awake."He gently pats her head as she coughs with her body shaking.

She stared at the strange boy in front of her in shock.  He looked ...so smooth-faced...with round eyes...and tanned skin. He looked weird.
She ignored the stinging pain in her chest in favour of studying the boy in front of her. She hadn't seen anyone like this ...he looked. Nice.
She blinked as the boy moved and gestured at his back.  She stared blankly not understanding the language.
Though it sounded familiar for some reason.

"Please let me help you, you have to get on my back...unless you are exhausted. " He looked down frowning before moving to carefully pick her up as he started to run back to his home.
