Next morning

Melissa pov

*Beep Beep Beep*

I groaned trying to find my alarms snooze button. Once I shut it off, I sat up in bed while stretching. Getting out of bed was like the hardest thing ever! Really.

"Melissa!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I changed into some acid washed skinny jeans and a black Vneck t-shirt and went downstairs.

"Yea?" I asked. You see my mom and I don't have a good relationship and my dad walked out on us when l was five.

"I called the school telling them that you won't go to school today. So call Jessica to not pick you up." She said, my mom doesn't really like JJ. "Why?" I asked her.

"Because" was her answer.

I called JJ, but she didn't answer so I sent her a text saying 'Hey boo don't pick me up. I'm not going to school' couple minutes later my phone was blaring JJ's ringtone

M-hello
J-are you feeling sick? that's Why your not going to school?
M-no my mom just said "I called the school telling them you won't go to school" then I asked her Why and she was all like "because"
J-oh. Okay Mel so I'll see you tomorrow?
M-yea. Maybe. Probably?
J-kk well bye class is starting. Love ya
M-love ya too bye

This is why I can't wait to move out. To turn eighteen. My mom's a control freak. Harsh? Probably. But it's true and I'm barley sixteen, so about three more years.

Couple hours have passed and I'm stuck babysitting my brother Nathan. Does anyone want him? I give him away for free! No lie!

"Melissa I'm angry!" Nathan yelled at me.

"Yea so are this birds." I told him and went back to my game.

I turned of the game and went to make myself and Nathan a sandwich. I heard my phone ringing. I thought it was JJ but it was Justin.

M- Hello
J- Hey...so what time do you get out of school? He asked.
M-Can I ask why?
J-You just did. He told me. I rolled my eyes even though he can't see me.
J- But it's a surprise so no you can't ask why.
M-Okay. So why you called?
J-so know I can't call you?
M-No
J-So what are you doing later?
M- Nothing
J-We're going to go see a movie?
M- Sure.
J-okay so I'll see you let's say...7:00?
M-sure.

'OMG?! Did I ask her on a date?' I asked myself. 'But you're dating Selena'

No! No! No! We're just going as friends. Yea. Just as friends. Nothing more, nothing less.
